Dining options
Do you plan out your dining options (ADRs) or typically wing it? We will plan out most dinner options, about 4-5 breakfast options and wing most lunches on a 7-8 day trip.

Dining options
We usually plan all of our meals in advance, at least for our breakfast and dinners. Just made our ADR's last week for our December trip! Yippee!! Sometimes we end up changing our plans while we're there, though. If we get off track with our general itinerary or we just don't feel up to what we planned for that night. I just love doing all that fun planning in advance. It makes the time go a little faster!

It depends for us. If we REALLY want to eat somewhere, and it looks like it is a highly dined-at restaurant, we'll make them in advance. Otherwise, we'll usually make them the morning of the meal. We've never really tried to go without a PS/ADR.
We've never really had a problem getting what we've wanted around the time we've wanted, even when we make them the day of.

Re: Dining options
I'm with you there - I love pouring over the lists of places to eat. (Even though I've seen them countless times at this point) More often than not we end up canceling and winging it though. We do try and cancel if we know were not going to go - I dont know if it makes the wait for others any shorter, but having waited in the past I hope it helps.mickster68 wrote:We usually plan all of our meals in advance, at least for our breakfast and dinners. Unless it's something really hard to get into - Cinderalla Castle for example, then we just wing it. We talk about where we'd like to eat a late lunch (3:00-4:00 pm) the night before, then when we get up in the morning we make a final decision and I make an ADR for the restaurant we want to eat at.
This last trip we had some friends with us the first week and we never decided until that morning when we were in the park. I'd ususally go to guest relations and make the ADR then. (It really helps to eat at the off times!)

Mom and I usually wing it when we go to WDW or EPCOT.
We have made reservations in the past at The Mexican restaurant at EPCOT.

we usually wing it when it comes to food, the norm being a fast service burgers/pizza or something.
On our next trip, though, I'd like to try something like Cinderella's Royal Table or some other fancy place like that. Any opinions to the menu there?

I plan out my dining and make PS's for anywhere I'm planning on going that is full service. If I don't plan, then I always forget to go eat somewhere I wished I had remembered.

The time I was there with the family (hubby, son and a friend of my sons) we didn't plan, we just decided to wing it. We couldn't get into SciFi, the wait was unbelievable. I think if I was going again I would definately plan meals. I loved the character breakfasts. Lunch, is the one meal that came up on us really fast and we were always hustling around, and hassling amongst ourselves over where to eat. Thus taking precious time away from seeing the parks. Instead we could have a relaxing lunch and then been rested to finish out our day. BUT NOOOOO it was "where do you want to eat, I don't know where do you want to eat" repeat that 10 times and see what you come up with
