OMG!!!!
Re: Carousel of Progress
I agree, they should retool it a little by spreading out the years between scenes. It's just too big of a jump between 3 & 4. As long as they stay true to the original concept.

Re: Carousel of Progress
I am torn. Part of me would like to see them update the time skips, but the other part of me doesn't want them to change it at all..

Re: Carousel of Progress
The way I see it...they aren't using the original Walt Disney script anyway right now...so what's the use of keeping everything the same? The main point is to show progress. Walt's original idea actually spread the decades out fairly even...so that progress could be shown. The Imagineers could keep the same look and feel...but update it so that true progress is shown...and Walt's original vision is portrayed. JMHO

The idea of the current Disney staff reworking COP makes my stomach hurt!

Yeah...I would say if any of the Imagineers that were to work on CoP were ones that re-re-worked Journey into ImaginationJacca5660 wrote:The idea of the current Disney staff reworking COP makes my stomach hurt!

Re: Carousel of Progress
I don't want them to change it because its like a time capsule. I am only 20 and enjoy being able to see how things were before my time.
Re: Carousel of Progress
I thought they kept updating the last room from time to time. When we saw it a few years ago, it was very different from how I'd remembered it before. I think only the first three rooms stay the same.

Re: Carousel of Progress
I'm sure you are correct on this one. Various sources I found listed the last refurbishment in 1994 and the last scene now depicts Christmas in the 90's. The first scenes are turn of the century, 1920's and the fabulous 1940's.momeja wrote:I thought they kept updating the last room from time to time.
