Now, there's one we agree on! I still call it MGM and I have to think about it before saying DHS.Jacca5660 wrote:It will ALWAYS be the People Mover! Re: The People mover is coming back!
Yeah, that's how I distinguished the TTA in WDW from the Peoplemover at Disneyland. Never really saw the parallels between the two attractions other than they both give you a tour of Tomorrowland. The newer narration reminds me of the Peoplemover at Disneyland; kind of relaxed yet informative. It's going to take me a while to call it the Peoplemover, because I've always known it as the TTA.MmeLeota wrote:Now, there's one we agree on! I don't even bother with the Hollywood, I just call it Studios.

My boys (14 and 12) call it the WEDway and Peoplemover interchangeably...
Why?
Because I could never get used to TTA and called it that--it's just how they learned it.

Re: The People mover is coming back!
Yeah, I think it depends on how you learned it.
Re: The People mover is coming back!
I'll still refer to it as TTA. *shrugs*

Re: The People mover is coming back!
The name still is fine! It is still the TTA with just the peoplemover proceeding it. I think what they have done is just gotten rid of the "Blue Line".Brian845 wrote:I'm going to have to change my Fantasy Football team now..."TTA Tigers" Is obsolete!Len90 wrote:Very interesting. Good to see them changing the name back. I did notice that the "Blue Line" was not there this past trip. It was only being called Tomorrowland Transit Authority.

*RAIN ON PARADE ALERT*
I know the ride is still the exact same. I know I still love the attraction. But did anyone else's radar go up when they announced this? That they were going back to the old name. As a whole, I don't mind it. It's minor. In it's principle I think it speaks to the fact that they have flat out run out of new ideas.

TDO (Team Disney Orlando, aka the schmucks running WDW) being stingy and not wanting to spend the money on anything original and fresh. Yep...

Re: The People mover is coming back!
Love to hear the name change! If only it did signal a return of the Peoplemover in Disneyland...
And yes, I sure would like to see a return of the original Epcot too...

Re: The People mover is coming back!
I agree to a certain extent. Though it's ironic because so many Disney nuts want the nostalgia back, but to some great extent it's working...well backwards...literally. So many people here are already saying they wish they'd bring old EPCOT Center back as an example. I LOVED World of Motion and Horizons as a kid. My favorite rides at some level were Rio Del Tiempo and Delta Dreamflight because I could and would just re-ride them over and over and over again with no line and pay attention to all the little details and memorize the video loops. As my name implies I was also a huge Mr Toad's Wild Ride fan and as I got older 20,000 Leagues began to intrigue me more than frighten me (it freaked me out when I was really young). I would love to experience those rides again but I don't really want them back. What Disney should be doing instead of slapping old names on rides (and also slapping new names on old rides and acting like its new) is coming out with fresh ideas. Though I think Disney should be looking back to figure out where they went astray in their park design and theming and try to get back those ideals.kcarts wrote:*RAIN ON PARADE ALERT*
