Wasn't this supposed to be a Counter Service place originally...to supplement the existing restaurant there in Italy? I'm fine with it being a table service...just means I will have to pay out of pocket since I don't have any extra table service credits available with the (free) dining plan. Nice thing though is that it will be during the soft opening when I am there...so I won't have to worry about ADRs making the place packed ahead of time.

My brother was there today and said that the blood orange fresca is not to be missed.

I know at this point there is a lot of information out there about Via Napoli but I do have my notes from the D23 Flowers/Fireworks presentation if there is anything you're dying to know.

It was always intended to be table service, and there is a large family style table for 28 in the center of the restaurant.

Mmmm, I just bought a bottle of blood orange soda at World Market, I wonder if that will be almost the same thing :D
I wonder how often that table for 28 will be used by one party?! Or if it will be used to seat several parties and you have a new "family" during your meal?

Just read a review saying that the pizza is really good. Hopefully we can go eat there sometime in the fall. It's strange, though, how there are two Italian restaurants right next to each other like that.

I am glad that I will be there during the soft opening...so we won't have to get an ADR for it! I just pray that the wait isn't more than 30 minutes.

My brother said the pizza is very good, but be warned, it is not cheap. I think he said something like $27 for the pizza for two. I will have to ask him again when I speak to him (unless someone else finds the menu first).

have you seen the menu/prices on this one? i've been to italy (north and south), and live in the home of pizza (chicago), no matter how good it was, or what premium ingredients they made it from, i never paid $35 for a cheese pizza. in general, food prices are high at disney (thank goodness for free dining promotions), but i guess that's to be expected. yet even for disney, this is kind of a s t r e t c h of the imagination.

It seems to be a bit on the pricey side. Keep in mind that the middle price seems to be the typical 8 slice pie that you would get from your local pizzeria. The early reviews seem really good and I would definitely like to give it a try. Don't think it is the type of place to go for dinner. Looks like a fantastic place for a sit down lunch. I see it as a family of four would get the $25 pie with maybe four drinks. Comes out to be around $40. Not too drastic when you consider that it is in Disney.

Hmmm, sounds like this might not work into the budget...I wonder if I can hang around the door and see if anyone coming out with leftovers will sell me just a slice?!

I wonder, when looking at the menu how Via Napoli works with the Disney Dining Plan? When doing the dining plan with table service, you get one entree and one dessert per person. And when we have done the dining plan before, of course we order high end items... I mean why order something on the inexpensive side if you are getting anything on the menu? So that being said, how does that work when it relates to the Via Napoli menu and pizza? Let's say I want pizza and my husband wants veal parmesean? Do I get a whole pizza??? I'm guessing there is some kind of personal pizza in those instances?

We have our ADR's at Via Napoli for the first weekend in October, I am excited! Something new, yay!!! But I am pondering whether to add the dining plan to our reservations or just use Tables in Wonderland, just not sure yet. I will be interested to see if there is anyone who goes there on the dining plan and how it works. So, who's going next on the dining plan... hurry!
