Side note not totally random: does anyone remember when Disney was trying out making the Mouse Ear shaped clouds?!?!? I saw that on the internet somewhere!
I'm a sucker for photos with reflections in the water ~ nice one disneylizzy! What is on the ground in front of the Dapper Dans?
B-babe ~ what are you talking about? Disney was making Mickey Mouse shaped clouds?!?!

The Dapper Dans play these chime instruments and that's what is in front of them! And I remember B-dude showing me that Disney was trying out making Mouse shaped clouds! I will have to ask him if remembers where he saw that! I would not make that up!

Thanks b-babe ~ I was trying to figure it out and I just couldn't. That would have made an excellent "where in the world" to have stumped me!
Let me know if b-dude remembers the cloud thing...that sounds c-r-a-z-y!!

Great pics!!! Especially the hidden Mickey! I love it when that sort of thing happens!
In response to the instruments on the ground in front of the Dapper Dans, they are called Deagan Organ Chimes. Kind of a precursor to the modern handbell...of sorts. As a long time handbell ringer, I have longed to try out one of the chimes, but am too shy to ask the Dans after the show. Maybe one of these days I'll get up the guts.
Sorry, I didn't mean to go all "know-it-all" on you guys.

No problem here! That's interesting and I love finding out more about new things
I wonder if they
would let you try them out? You would probably have better luck asking them when there weren't too many people around as then several folks might decide they wanted a chance at the Deagan Organ Chimes as well...

Yeah, that's pretty much why I never say anything. I don't want to cause a riot around the Dans!

(Film at Eleven!) Someday I'd like to try them out though...until then, I will continue to be the ding-a-ling I've always been! (yes, we call ourselves ding-a-lings in the bell world

)

so if you actually call yourself ding-a-lings, would calling y'all a ding-dong be bad? Or is it acceptable for the lower registers?!

Too funny Amy!!! I imagine there are folks out there calling themselves ding-dong

There is an ensemble of bass bell ringers that call themselves the "Low-Ding Zone". I love it!

Thank you Thank you! That camera is a digital body and the lens we have on it is phenomenal. It was all custom settings!
