I completely understand that one!!! I actually have a village that I set up for Halloween one year and meant to leave it through Christmas then take it down. I liked it so much, it stays all year now.mindflipper wrote:I decorate for both. Then again, much of the it is the same decorations for both.Jacca5660 wrote:It's like that around here. Don't they have that number you can call and order things from the park? I know WDW has one, so I'm sure DL has one as well!MmeLeota wrote:I completely understand that one!!! I just saw a play set of Villains figurines at DL a couple of weeks ago (and I am now kicking myself for not getting them) that would fit right into my village! I think I'm going to have to see if they can be ordered another way.
I know you're curious about how I decorate outside...Jacca5660 wrote:mindflipper wrote:I decorate for both. Then again, much of the it is the same decorations for both.Jacca5660 wrote:It's like that around here. People decorate more for Halloween then they do Christmas. What's up with that?![]()

it's what happens when two holidays collide!
(clap of thunder....maniacal disembodied laughter echoing....)
Is it really faster using WDW roads to get anywhere quickly? You really do live close don't you?!MadEye wrote:When you take the back roads of WDW to get errands done quicker.
Well, it depends on where I have to go. I rent movies a lot but the closest Blockbuster to me is closer to Universal. If they don't have a movie I'm looking for, the next closest one is on 192/535. Easiest and quickest way to get there is by taking World Drive to Epcot Center Drive/536. Same with the second closest Walmart. But most of the time I just go north of WDW and the major tourist traveled roads.Amy wrote:Is it really faster using WDW roads to get anywhere quickly? Do you get caught in traffic a lot during the high seasons? I always thought it would be fun to live so close you can pop in and out for day trips when you have time, but I never thought about the hassle that comes from living in a tourist-y town...MadEye wrote:Well, it depends on where I have to go. Like I said, it depends on where I have to go. If it's the grocery store, then I have a Publix 2-3 miles north of WDW. There is also a Target, Best Buy, Walmart and lots of places to eat that are nowhere near any of the touristy areas. Anyone who has been on I-4 has probably seen the Walmart a little west of the highway between Universal and Seaworld but wonders how the heck to get there. That is the Walmart I frequent because there are hardly any tourists to deal with.Amy wrote:Do you get caught in traffic a lot during the high seasons? Not at all, Bro! I was just reminded of Dorothy by what someone else said, and it made an interesting mental picture!Boilerdude wrote:Uh, M-Dude, are you implying that I own a pair of ruby red slippers?
Hey, what's wrong with us tourists?!?MadEye wrote:Like I said, it depends on where I have to go. If it's the grocery store, then I have a Publix 2-3 miles north of WDW. I live so close that the funniest thing I've seen was a RV/Camper towing a car parking in the entrance to the apartment complex I live in because it got lost trying to find Fort Wilderness.
I wonder if she did it on purpose?! Then she would be a WDW nut tooMousekedude wrote:When your DW is munching a piece of toast, and when she sets it down you say, "hey, that's shaped exactly like the Tree of Life!"
