I made an attempt to converse in French whenever I needed assistance and I think that made a big difference. I do think they can be a little aloof to larger groups of "ugly americans" though...and before anyone yells at me, I am not calling Mouskedude ugly!!
I have to agree with Amy on this. I've been to France four times and I have never had a problem with any of the native population. From Parisians to rural French community, they were all polite. They are as polite with you as you are with them. I have unfortunately seen my share of "ugly americans". They are those belligerent types that believe by shouting and bullying they can force people to let them have their way. As for Chefs de France, I have eaten there many times and I have never had bad service. The wait staff was always polite and courteous. I'm sorry M-dude had a bad experience there, but many of us haven't.

Was by far the nicest experience of any restaurant in WDW, and I think I've been about everywhere. Funny thing is, our server at Chef de France was Italian, go figure!

My mom and I are looking forward to dining here for the first time at the end of Oct. I showed her the menu today online!

I am silently taking notes here on Les Chefs de France. I am hoping that I could use this information for the future. Thanks for the pictures and report of everything. EPCOT really is interesting at night. SSE is just awesome to look at during the night.

I never said I had a bad experience there. All I said was the French wait staff are not quite as friendly as the wait staff in other Disney restaurants... But they're still friendly over all! I specifically said you'll have a good experience there, and my exact words were "we always have."
Man, make a simple observation and get flamed.... (grumble grumble....). :(
