So I will be planning my Holiday Disney World vacation instead! I understand some Sub-ers are going to WDW the first part of December, we plan on going Dec 9 - 12. Yay!
Good deal on the just showing up at the wedding! If we make it to WDW this year we would likely still be there when you are so maybe we can meet for the wine tour you take around WS. That sounds like fun

I love the whole Iron Chef thing!!! I figured there would be rum-spiking shomewhere in that meal though!

Maybe that can be the surprise twist to the dessert?

Good idea for an Iron Chef show...is it in any way Disney affiliated? Then it could actually happen!

Yay! More people for the wine tour?!

Funny part is, I've got my mom going on this too now, she thinks it's a great idea! Disney is contagious!
I don't think Boilerdude thinks that the funny part - he doesn't get to!

No, I don't.

But along my DW is happy.
I keep saying, I am going in December.

Thanks mindflipper, those slippers would be worn by someone who favors Indiana University

Instead, I will slam my sledge hammers together and say "there's no place like home... there's no place like home..."

it was really cool.

I've been to WDW and DLR for Christmas. I had thought WDW did a decent job at decorating for Christmas until I went to DLR. I was amazed at how well they did. Even Fronteirland was decorated with tumble-weed wreaths adorned with old boots and horeshoes. DLR's New Orleans Square was done to a Mardi Gras Christmas. Fantasyland was decorated. At WDW, other than Main Street, no other part of the Magic Kingdom was decorated much for Christmas. It feels like once they got the Osbourne Light Display at DHS, there was no reason to put an A+ effort in decorating the parks - more like a B-/C+.

I can't compare WDW to DLR but in my opinion...WDW does it up right for Christmas! We love Halloween too but for Christmas it's like the entire WDW area is decorated. Whereas with Halloween it's really only MK. MVMCP is the absolute best!

Wow! I always figured that if DL was that good I couldn't imagine how amazing WDW would be!!! I'd still like to see it, but it's nice to know that more effort and detail is put into DL. (of course, there's not as much space to decorate either)
I'm hoping that once all the construction in DCA is finished, they will decorate for Christmas. I remember when they had "Luminaria" (and even then the park had meager decorations). Then one year they went all out and the park looked great! But after that, it declined again...we haven't gone during Christmastime for the past 3 years or so so I'm not sure what those years' decorations were like, but I would imagine that due to construction, they won't really decorate. However, when it comes to Halloween...DCA transforms into Candy Corn Acres and they go all out...makes no sense to me.

It's like that around here. People decorate more for Halloween then they do Christmas. What's up with that?

I decorate for both. Then again, much of the it is the same decorations for both.
