I just know it is going to freak me out when I go down there later this year.
The silver lining will be that it will force me to go back once everything is done.

Thanks for posting...couldn't they have done better with that wall?! I dunno, I though they were going to make it look like a "castle" wall?! That's going to really bother me if we make down there in Dec.

Anyone know why the wall is still around the Tree outside of Pooh? They moved that over 2 months ago and I can't imagine that there was much more to do to it???

I have no idea about the wall around the tree. They might be repainting it since there is scaffolding in it. As for the Fantasyland expansion, there was only one place I could go to get a view of the expansion and that was Dumbo. The wall stretches all the way from Pinocchio to the Toontown Entrance. It is obvious where the cutoff will be when they wall off Toontown. Also it looks like Mickey and Minnie might be moved near Exposition Hall. They have facade refurbishment going on and also some walling around. Also the talking Goofy bench has disappeared as a temporary ramp sits in it's location. I tried getting pictures, but they didn't come out great since we did it at 8PM when it was still light out but not very bright. Posted below is my best picture I could get.
Oh yeah and may I be the first to post this: FOUNDATIONS HAVE BEEN LAID!!!!!!!!!!!

Cool picture! Duh, I didn't think about going on Dumbo to see over the wall, good job!

I am hoping Dumbo will still be going in September so I can get a good view of the progress. I am guessing it might be one of the last things to go since all it has to do is move from one place to another. It will be sorely missed during the move though and I am sure it will have some little ones upset.

I am honestly hoping it can stay for a bit longer since it really is the only vantage point as of right now. The construction area is massive and the wall line is huge. I don't know how upset the little ones would be as opposed to those you like the classics. They do gave the Aladdin Magic Carpet ride in adventureland and that Triceratop spin in Dinoland. The dumbo move sounds easy and quick but I feel it could be down for anywhere between 12-18 months or more.

It's hard to believe that a park icon like Dumbo would be down for that long. You'd think that with all of the promotional material that Disney has, that they would wait until the latest possible time to move Dumbo into its new digs.

Wow, good shot Len!!! I'm still disappointed that Disney could not do better with that wall they've put up. I really hope Dumbo is still up and running in Oct. I do like the classics and wanted to ride this with my mom for old time sake.

Actually, I'm very surprised at the progress of the new dumbo area. It makes me wonder if they want to open that section first before the rest. If they moved Dumbo, opened it in its new area before the rest of the expansion, and then closed down Dumbo's old area, then they could get the old area possibly renovated and re-opened at the same time with the rest of the expansion. It might explain why that area is progressing so quickly...

They have Walt Disney quotes all along the walls and there are some paintings on the walls which I was unable to get any pictures of. However I really couldn't get any great pictures of the wall with the people walking around Fantasyland. I am glad you all like the picture, but I feel bad that it was the best I could get. Mark and I tried getting our camera over the wall, but that was impossible. The wall has to be over 7 feet tall.

(Over 7 feet) Had Mark who is 6-2 and he couldn't get the camera onto the top of the wall to angle in for some pictures.

I'm thinking Mark + Len on Mark's shoulders would have to be able to see over the wall! You have to use your imagination Len
