Perhaps it's time for Imagination (and Wonders of Life for that matter) to go the way of World of Motion and Horizons. Tear 'em down and start from scratch. This re-imagining thing doesn't seem to working. For me anyway. Lately when I hear they are re-imagining something I cringe. It usually results in a rehash of an old idea. Perhaps instead of re-imagining they should just call it re-hashing.

So my vote would be for starting over. Fresh idea.

I would be in favor of that as well, as long as they don't immediately go to thrill rides for both pavilions...

I wouldn't mind this with WoL but demo the glass pyramids of Imagination? Hell no!!!!

Weirdness is compatible with ours,

i'm never to keen on any "improvements", but disney did prove me wrong on that attitude concerning both the mexico and seas makeovers. i thought (and still think) that epcot as a whole lacks enough magic kingdom style ride throughs. so, i welcomed and appreciated the "new" way to enter the seas when it first opened. is it phenomenal? or something i can't wait to do? no, after doing it once you could easily enter from the left on your follow-up visits (unless of course you have small children like me, then you'll be hitting it every time). anyway, still an improvement on what i thought was an unimaginative waste of space prior to the rehab. mexico? in years past, when we absolutely ran out of things to do, we may have considered hitting that ride once, just to say we did it (and really just to get out of the heat or kill time). this to me really was an improvement. adding donald and his friends truly breathed new life into this ride. if you've seen the "three caballeros", it's not very good, i mean it doesn't really hold your attention. so it's kind of a strange outcome, combining 2 things that are basically lame, and coming out with something entertaining. now, every time we walk past mexico, we hit that ride. for me, they seem to be on a roll over at epcot, so i am more hopeful than afraid of an imagination rehab.

Kinda have to go with MadEye on this one. I love the look of this place. And its the IMAGINATION pavilion - if you should be able to "re-imagine" anyplace it would be that one! Geez!  :mickey:

I've decided to make this solemn vow: If an Imagination rehab is ever officially announced, and if construction walls actually go up and details about the project confirm that it will be a worthy successor to the original attraction, I will react like this: (click here for video) and the ridiculous scene I make will be video recorded and posted to YouTube for all the world to see.

If that's not enough to motivate the pointy-haired nimrods that make up Team Disney Orlando, then I don't know what is.

That would be fun to see you go absolutely bonkers like the guy in the video Future Guy! I do like the Imagination glass pyramid and would miss it if they dismantled that as part of the re-imagineering process however...

Let's be real here - as they're currently spending a bundle on the Fantasyland Expansion over at MK - the chances of them announcing a rehab/re-imaginneering over at EPCOT any time soon are slim to none....

Fine, keep the pyramids.

And you would think that they would be able to re-imagine there if nowhere else. But what have they given us? A re-hash of Figment and that ride and now......

Captain EO.

I'm thinking of growing my 80's mullet back.

Amy wrote:Interesting idea horizons1. I wonder what happened with the load area track that is no longer in use. Is it just now closed off to the newer version of the ride? Used as storage? Does anyone know?
I read somewhere else that the track is still there, underneath the queue. Not sure if that is true though.

It seems to be true, as you are walking through the queue, there are spots where the old track was that feel and sound like they just covered the old track with plywood.
