She is getting quite excited but still wonders why she won't be able to visit Jack Skellington in WDW. I explained the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay is only at DL...and then she says, "But California Adventure is in Florida right?!" No Mom, California Adventure is in California. Then I told her, "But Soarin' is now in EPCOT." so that made everything ok...it is so rough raising parents sometimes

I'd be more than happy to sign a petition, lead a revolt, take some prisoners... in order to have Skellington visit WDW each year.

Has anyone gone horseback riding at Ft. Wilderness in WDW? We plan to go this summer. Hope it's not too hot for the horses.

I've noticed that some people have posted "how many days"

until their next visit with what appears to be a WDW name tag with the number on it. How do you get this? Is it downloaded from somewhere? Is it on the website to download?

I just went yesterday (for my sisters' birthday even though it's today) so I may go for mine next month if I'm up for it. If not then it's usually up in the air.

39 days until we are back home again! Staying at CSR for 5 nights then moving to the Contemporary to a MK view room for our last two nights!

Well, I put my Mom in charge of starting to look at a December vacation in WDW ~ so we can meet my fellow mayhem marauders in person...because she can ferret out the best deals

Anyhow...this is what I find by the computer this morning...this hotel, this room, blah, blah, blah and these dates

November 28 - December 16th!!
Now I really enjoy a WDW vacation and it has been 10 years since we last went, but I'm thinking I can't afford an almost 3 week stay with the mouse! I might have something to add to the "What would you sacrifice to live at WDW" thread if we stay that long

EDIT: Ok, I asked her this evening and she laughed and said that those were simply the date range the value season was in effect...phew!

Amy - It's the shock factor. You look at how much it would cost for 3 weeks, then you compare it to the price for staying a couple of days and it doesn't look so bad.

That is probably true, but since I am self-employed, there isn't any vacation time to draw on either, so as long as I am gone, I am not making any money
