Personally I don't like the idea of exclusive residences at WDW. I just don't believe that Walt would go for this as it caters to just the elite few. To me, that's not what Disney is all about. -- tory

Tory - I absolutely agree with you, as I don't think this is what Walt envisioned for his parks. However, if I was able to afford one of them, I wonder if my attitude would change on the subject...

Kind of makes me wonder about Celebration?

I think it may just get you a loose screw from the mailbox. That flag is gonna cost a lot more $$$$....

I think the development is neat but hate how into real estate Disney is these days.
The homes look lovely but I think I'd rather have a residence on the beach in FL and still stay on property when I go to wdw. I feel like living RIGHT THERE would make wdw less special. Plus during the busy times of year, everything (restaurants, grocery, etc) around your house is so crowded!

Great point! I never thought about how crowded things can get just being around WDW! Also how prices are never stable because of being there.

I'm guessing gas prices would always be a bit on the high side as well...I guess that does it, I'm cancelling my down-payment on a lot...

LOL!
Yeah, I live in a city that gets a lot of snowbirds and things are just different when the vacation crowds are in town. Not complaining b/c the snowbirds are vital to the economy here, but as a year-round resident the city has a different feel when it's high season.
I would imagine disney is the same, except there is no low season. Think about it, the restaurants would always have an hour+ wait, the grocery store is expensive and often crowded, people are driving slow b/c they don't know the area....
At least Celebration is far enough out of it that those people don't share grocery stores and restaurants with the average disney visitor.
