France is a bit busy. Italy on the other hand would be great on the bridge or even down at the front by the gondalas it is usually quieter unless of course you want a large audience.

How about taking a bus to Port Orleans, go for a horse and carriage ride around the two resorts then walk over to Oak Mansion it is the one with the gardens and fountain in the middle get down on one knee and propose and the walk back to the boat take a trip down to DTD to celebrate and then bus back to your own resort from there.

As Jacca says each to their own but its a suggestion.

dwellsbct...that was a beautiful story! I even got misty-eyed while reading it. We've had days before where we didn't go into the parks either and they have been wonderful! I really like your choice of words too.

As far as a good place to propose goes, I think it truly depends on the kind of person/couple you are, but most of all (for me anyway) creativity is king...
Mousekedude planned out a wonderful surprise for his sweetie for their 10th anniversary that included a scavenger hunt in the Magic Kingdom. It was planned by an outside company who specializes in special events. What are her likes? Does she have a heritage that relates to one of the countries of World Showcase? Does she have a favorite attraction? A favorite character? You could propose at a character meet-n-greet with the character as the witness. If Mickey's house is still open, this could work nicely, and the Mouse would be your "witness". ;)

Here's the link to the thread dedicated to Mousekedude & Mouseoholic' anniversary trip report.

I'm not sure where he talks about the surprise, but it's great reading anyway. (and you might be asking Mousekedude for some pointers ;) )
