I'm sitting here on my butt doing hw and listening to Subsonic. Yay labor day weekend.

In other news, I have discovered a love for "Ballad of Thunder Mountain"

Went to the state fair yesterday and again Monday - most of today was spent at the Jackson St Roundhouse rebuilding old railroad equipment [today's project for me was grinding door sills off of a CNW baggage car - for any railfans out there :D ] It is downpouring today, and they said it was supposed to be just partly cloudy...

I'm sitting here procrastinating because I have an extra day off this weekend. Noticed there were no pending requests, so I figured I'd burn up some points. The weather in the Puget Sound area has cooled off a bit, so it's pretty nice here. For a change, I can sit at the computer for extended periods without breaking into a sweat.

I've noticed it's been really quiet for the last week. I know Sub is busy with his job, as well as doing another job for someone. I've been searching around the forums for new posts, but as there's not alot, been doing things like cleaning/remodeling.

It's been a slow, but semi-eventful Labor Day weekend tomorrow.

I celebrated my 18th birthday by heading to Disneyland yesteday. It was a great day actually, I saw Snow White, the Dapper Dans, and a great ragtime performance.

On Friday I invited my friends over for a little get together celebrating my birthday. I also started watching Arrested Development which is a hilarious show.

Hop everyone else's Labor Day weekend is going well too.

I take back what I said about sitting on my butt and doing hw. Of course I tried to sit down and do some, but distractions take over.

Today I had a pretty cool day. First my step-sister came down from Sac and we hung out and compared WDW Fantasmic to DLR Fantasmic. We also watched this old vhs of a 1992 recording of Fantasmic. Then we went to the Academy of Sciences and explored the temporary chocolate exhibit and looked at the fishes. After that we headed down to Ghiradelli Square for a sundae and walked around Fisherman's Wharf and had seafood at Pier 39. So yeah, today I played tourist to my own city and had a pretty good time.

So tomorrow is the sitting on butt day doing hw.

My girlfriend, a massage therapist, had to work most of the weekend, so we hung out when we could. Missed out on a couple BBQ's, but did it up nice with a Ruth's Chris steak dinner one night, and slow-cooked, fall-off-the-bone homemade pork ribs last night.

Plus I had to do a ton of laundry... so I can pack... for DISNEYLAND... for which we leave in just two days!!

I had to labor! My mom's birthday was the 4th. For her present she asked us to help work on her house Monday. We spend 8 hours painting, moving furniture, and building shelves in the closet! Ugh.

yesterday, I did nothing but download tracks from wdwfreak so as to be uploaded to Sub for adding to the playlist. that, and watched various movies that I've seen 100 and/or have on DVD or seen on On Demand on one of the many stations we have.
