I'm curious, those of you who chose EPCOT, do you like it more for Future World, or World Showcase, or maybe a little of both?
A little of both for me but mostly WS. FW has a couple of different feels to it for the most part is just FW. WS has a different feel with every country you visit. And I love that you can experience so much in WS just from walking through the countries.
I think that many of the complaints lodged against Epcot come the fact that people love it so much. At least for me that's the case. It's my favortie park. I want Disney to sink all the money into that place!
Serioulsly, I have my issues with the other parks (and I like them a lot as well) but for me Epcot is on another level. On a higher standard. I just pay more attention to what is happening there and any new ideas they have. If they were to do something in Epcot like the rebuilding of Fantasyland in MK, I would pay much more attention to it and probably have more to say about it.

I don't think I can pick just one as a "favorite." I managed to get it narrowed to three for the pick only three thread. There's just too much to like at all the parks. Even if I think something needs to be done with the Imagination Pavilion, there are so many other things to like about EPCOT. Ditto for all the other parks.

I agree, it's because I love it so much I complain when Disney does something stupid! I know WED want the park to change with time and I have no problem with change. It's just when it's not well thought and it seems to take place just to capitalize on a passing fad or property. Like that whole thing with the explore/cell phone thing. NOT WELL THOUGHT OUT!!
Still my FAVORITE park!!

For me, it's a little of both. I will always remember FW the way it was in '92 when I first went there and I was in awe of such a place that showed me there were so many possibilities in this world and made me think about how far we've come in technological advances.
As far as WS goes, I love getting to visit all the pavilions of countries I'm not sure I'll ever get to visit "in real life" and I remember being so impressed that people from each country worked there. Getting to talk to the CM's about their life in their own countries is always very facinating to me.

I agree...it is very interesting getting to talk to the CMs there in WS about their home countries. I got to learn a lot about Canada while waiting for my table at Le Cellier.

Epcot, for a lot of the reasons mentioned, but for me, one of the greatest draws for Epcot is the music!!!! Can't get enough of it!
Also, have to mention AK (no tomato throwing please!). I actually like it more than HS because it is different every time, even if the show is staged (one time, I was at the Flights of Wonder show and one of the birds was being a bit stubborn and would not respond to the trainer; the performers played along with it perfectly and I almost fell out of my bench laughing). Plus, the Nemo musical is awesome!

Epcot.
During Christmas.
When the Lights of Winter are up.

Maybe they will bring them back this year?! It has only been one year that they were missing...right?

Generally I would imagine people my age (erm, don't ask) would prefer EPCOT like me.
My kids, however, prefer Animal Kingdom and Studios. We all still love the Magic Kingdom, but I think the favorite park question usually boils down to the age of the person answering.

Yeah. Hoping that the rumors about being wrapped and possibly refurbed with LED's will come true.

Oooh! LED's will make them even more twinkley and sparkely!

EPCOT is where I gravitate to, but my heart is in the Magic Kingdom.

Epcot.
And to some of the previous questions, mostly Future World but some World Showcase. I relish my memories of EPCOT Center before 1994. 1993 may have been its best year. All pavilions firing no want, no "Epcot '94", no shuttered or decimated pavilions...
Anyway, it's still my favorite. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I go and remember what it was while seeing what it is. Also, the restaurants of World Showcase are enjoyable.
