I think AK has a better showing than the current DCA, so that is why DCA got the funding first. I wouldn't be surprised if in 3 years or so, AK will see a complete makeover.
That is an interesting thought - some things could definitely be tweaked in the AK. I hope they leave It's Tough To Be a Bug alone though - I like that show :D
Well, I can't speak for how popular it is or the maintenance costs involved, but they're leaving it alone in DCA. Plus I can't imagine a better attraction for the Tree of Life! That was probably the 1 thing that truly impressed me the first time we went there (5 months after it opened). I love the tree and ITTBAB is perfect for it! (even though I can't stand the 4D stuff, the show is cute)

I've never thought about it having fewer attractions, and I certainly never counted, but next time I go I am going to get a map and count...but then there is the issue of "fewer" but maybe "larger." Their stage shows are events unlike anything offered in the other parks.

And the special bird show, I am sure it has a name, is entertaining, educational, really delightful. These are not animatronic birds, they are a touch of nature.
I agree on both points. :D I think the AK actually is hotter, or at least more muggy - all that plant life really holds in the humidity.

My mom and I have gone over to the AK just to watch Festival of the Lion King. I can't imagine skipping it.

I think there needs to be another E Ticket attraction somewhere to take all of the focus off of Everest. That and some table service restaurants other than Yak and Yeti's, which is pretty good.
mmm I would appreciate a couple ts restaurants on the caliber of boma and jiko at akl, but not the same naturally.

I'd like to see the boat ride again - don't know if it's possible though because it stretched as far as asia (before asia was built). more shade in asia as it is quite open from kali river rapids to everest, make tusker house back the way it was (not character dining), add something to camp minnie mickey - not enough to do there. rethink dinoland - maybe with something connected to toy story's rex (anything would be better than it is ;) or make it more like jurassic park land in universal ?

It would be really cool to have dense jungle theming like Jurassic park in dinoland.

That, and make the park more than a half-day park (I know...very old argument)

Definitely lose the Carnival section of Dinoland I never cared for it, I just avoid it...I agree it is not up to Disney standards. Carnival says cheap and sneaky to me, and how does carnival fit in with Animal Kingdom??? Keep "Dinosaur" and the Digging up Bones area for the kids.
