Spaceship Earth Wand or No Wand

I hated those stars more than the wand. To me the stars were really defacing an icon. They took away the beauty of SSE. I know they were meant to tie the wand in, but it might have been more tolerable if they left the stars off.

I liked the wand. I think it gave it some personality. Plus it was there when we got engaged in front of the Fountain of Nations.

Ok, so how long has it been since the wand was removed? Saying that it is no longer visible on Google Earth sounds like it has been a while, but I totally didn't notice it was missing when i was there in Dec 09.

The wand was removed in time for the 25th Anniversary of the park on October 1, 2007. The work began over the summer to ensure that the park could be restored to it's classical form for the anniversary.

Shows how fond I was of the wand! I TOTALLY didn't realize it was missing in 2009. Funny.

I loved the wand........for the 2000 celebrations. It lost its magic quickly after that.
I love the hat in DHS.........just not the location of the hat, it's ruining the view.......shift it somewhere else in the park.
I love the tombstones, I'm on one ........I wouldn't mind if they got moved to line the route from the parking lot into park.

Oh no Sleepy90 is on there with me. So technically we are the two.
We may actually be on there TWICE They were a free "treat" from our holiday company two years in a row.

Even though I didn't like the wand, that's a pretty cool keepsake to have! I always thought it looked like Spaceship Earth was dropped on Mickey and all that was left was his arm hanging out.
