and... I really hope the Main Street Electrical Parade will still be around in December...

I agree, MadEye - you can tell us more about the ride itself without giving away the end of the story....NaCler wrote:MadEye - What type of a ride is it? Is it a simulator ride like Spiderman or bigger like Star Tours?

While waiting for MadEye to share a little more, you might want to check out MiceChat...they had a few good shots of the interior queue and beginning of the ride without spoiling anything...well, they told what kind of ride system was used but I don't think that spoils anything...mindflipper wrote:I agree, MadEye - you can tell us more about the ride itself without giving away the end of the story....NaCler wrote:MadEye - What type of a ride is it? It does seem like they would hold it for longer but the in the one promo video, the Imagineer stated very clearly that the parade would only be there for the specified time frame. I would love the chance to see it again as well ~ I love the musicgreendoor678 wrote:I think they will keep the MSEP longer than "they" are telling us. At least, that's what I'm hoping since we will be there in Oct. It just doesn't make sense to only keep it in FL for such a short time.
Was in line for Forbidden Journey for longer than it said it was due to "technical issues" and the line was already posted as an hour long. The worst part of the queue is the greenhouse. Sure they have fans but the humidity and heat will overcome them easily. The issues while in line happened after I got in the nice AC of Hogwarts Castle but I can only imagine how the people outside were feeling.NaCler wrote:Amy - Thanks for the link. I hope that with such a new and complicated ride system it doesn't shut down a lot. That will kill Harry Potter Land since it looks like it will be VERY crowded with such limited space.
Uh-oh! I hope they get those issues resolved before the grand opening!MadEye wrote:Was in line for Forbidden Journey for longer than it said it was due to "technical issues" and the line was already posted as an hour long. They will. That is why they have soft openings. To fix the bugs.Amy wrote:Uh-oh! Would tall people have problems? And are you ever really very far off the ground in the vehicles? You know, like the Soarin' height off the ground?MadEye wrote:Oh and something I forgot to mention. If they think you will not fit, they will put you in a test seat in the line a little before you ride. If you make it, great. But the load area is a very long corridor and if they can't get the safety harness within the "safe zone" by the end of the load zone you are SOL. I would say the corridor is between 100 - 200 feet after you board the vehicle.
That's odd. I thought the "vehicles" looked pretty roomy. Isn't it a bench that 3-4 people can fit on? Of course, part of the ride experience is the queue since it takes you throughout the castle. So, I'm sure if people can't fit on the ride they won't be too disappointed as they were still able to "explore" the castle. Die hards, that is.MadEye wrote:Oh and something I forgot to mention. It does look like a bench in the photos but it also looks like each seat has an over the shoulder restraint...NaCler wrote:That's odd. I thought the "vehicles" looked pretty roomy. It is a bench, but each seat is very small (with kind of a little wall between you and the person next to you so if you ride with your kids, you can hardly see them...) and it does use an over the shoulder restraint. If I remember correctly, the restraint system they use needs to click three times or you aren't going to ride it.Amy wrote:It does look like a bench in the photos but it also looks like each seat has an over the shoulder restraint...NaCler wrote:That's odd. Now that the parade has re-started in the Magic Kingdom...does anyone know which soundtrack they're using? And if it's "Disney Electrical Parade" or is it "Main Street Electrical Parade"?Len90 wrote:It should be interesting to hear the soundtrack that they play for it. Will it be the updated version or will it be the old version from when the parade was there at the turn of the century.
