four fried chickens and a coke?
My chicken obsessed wife believes this is important. So I offered to post it for her. She says that at the Harbour House (MK), and throughout WDW, they have switched the chicken "strip" to a chicken "nugget". Apparently she can discern a noticeable lack in quality/flavor with this change. For myself, I can't really see what difference this would make, but since I don't eat chicken, I may have a disinterested bias. If you agree with her, and there is overwhelming support on this issue, perhaps we can put a petition alongside the Disneyland People Mover? Ya, right. Well, I guess we'll both see how important an issue this really is by the number of responses it gets.

Not a fan of the chicken strip or nugget - too much breading on either for my taste. I would agree that they taste differently though...now if they ever talk about getting rid of Coca-Cola products I will be spearheading the protest party!nicklesm17 wrote:My chicken obsessed wife believes this is important. as long as you have your coke fix under control. leslie has been "cutting back" for 20+ years now. coke is the full menu on her b-fast.

Well, I try not to let the beastie within me drink too much coca-cola goodness. I don't know that a brekkie solely consisting of that delightful beverage would sustain me for very long. She must be a hungry puppy by lunchtimenicklesm17 wrote:as long as you have your coke fix under control. leslie has been "cutting back" for 20+ years now. coke is the full menu on her b-fast.

If that doesn't fill you up, you could always crack open another one, have some bran cereal, or an iced coffee. That's her recipe for longlife. None of the men have outlived the women in my family. i'm pretty sure i'll be breaking that streak.

On our last trip I had the chicken strips which are now nuggets and I was less than impressed.
I would look for something else on the menu next time.

I can understand her concern. Most chicken strips you can tell are pieces of chicken, while nuggets are fused chicken remnants recovered chicken skeleton. There was some controversy some years back with a certain fast food restaurant chain had used large amount of fat and skin mixed in with chicken meat to make their nuggets. So, yes, the quality of nuggets can be potentially less quality of chicken strips so don't discount her concerns.

Why get the chicken fingers/nuggest when you can get the fried shrimp?
I was just there, initially expecting to get the chicken strips, as I have heard many good things about them, but I was somewhat upset when I saw there were only nuggets, but the shrimp were a very good substitute.

Now I understand why I don't eat them!

Alas, you now know why Jacca5660 and I do not eat chicken nuggets. Finding out the appalling truth about them is an apetite killer.Amy wrote:Mmmmm! I actually saw something on that Food Revolution show that kinda showed what was in the mass market chicken nuggets - not a pretty sight...mindflipper wrote:Alas, you now know why Jacca5660 and I do not eat chicken nuggets. I think I saw the same program. It left you with this traumitized feeling that makes you want to run anytime you see chicken nuggets....Amy wrote:I actually saw something on that Food Revolution show that kinda showed what was in the mass market chicken nuggets - not a pretty sight...
