Re: Haunted Mansion
This is an excellent topic!!!! I would have to say my absolute fav. room is the ballroom! I love to watch all the different ghosts and see what they're up to! My second fav. would have to be the hitch hiking ghosts!
Re: Haunted Mansion
I gotta agree with everyone else about this being a great question.. And as much as I love the Piano room, I still have to say my favorite "room" is the hitchhiking ghosts. I always wonder which one I'll get and I try to guess before I get there...By the way, do the hitchhiking ghosts have names?

Re: Haunted Mansion
I really like this topic a lot. My favorite room is the indoor grave yard where the ghosts pop up from behind the tombstones and are all singing Grim Grinning Ghosts. My second favorite scene is the Stretching Room. However, I really think that the CM can make it or break it depending on what they do when the lights go out.

I just thought of another spot in the Mansion I like: The Knight with the deep voice and the fairly large Executioner with the higher pitched voice. Nice touch if you ask me.

Re: Haunted Mansion
This is hard to choose a single room! My initial thought is that I really like the graveyard towards the end of the ride. The skinny dog and the yowling cat along with the fat lady singing opera are all so fun. There is a hidden mickey in that area too, right? Probably more than one hidden mickey, but only one that I have found. I also like the singing busts. The line area after the stretching room on the way to board the doombuggies is not very elaborate but the anticipation of getting on the carts is so fun!

Re: Haunted Mansion
I would have gone for the Ballroom however I really like the new scene with the stairs at the beginning of the ride at WDW with the footprints walking up the upside down stairs.

Re: Haunted Mansion
This sounds neat ~ is it after you have already boarded your doombuggy? I'll have to watch for this effect the next time we go...Sleepy90 wrote:I would have gone for the Ballroom however I really like the new scene with the stairs at the beginning of the ride at WDW with the footprints walking up the upside down stairs.
After reading through others' posts, I have to jump on the bandwagon and say how much I enjoy the singing busts in the graveyard...

Re: Haunted Mansion
i go w/ popular opinion on this one. there's so much to see in the ballroom, it's kind of a game to see if i can spot something i've never seen each time i do this ride. i will make mention of one thing, i DO NOT like the new heartbeat bride portion. i may be one of the few people who liked the eddie murphy haunted mansion movie, but you'd have to admit, it was a nice tie-in with the ride. kinda added more depth, or explanation. i thought it fun for that. because it didn't make the money POC did, disney has to discredit it? on the same lines, i did not mind the addition of jack sparrow popping up, thought it would be temporary fun, but now the whole POC ride has been perverted from start to finish. i hope they revert back for the 75th anniversary, because there's probably a better chance of you seeing me floating around the ballroom , than me making the 100th dis-anniversary.

I don't think anyone has answered you, so I will try. I believe their names are: Phinneas, the short, plump guy with the hat on his head; Ezra, the tall skinny one and Sam is the bearded one with the ball & chain. Anyone, please correct me if I am wrong.ChaChing wrote:I gotta agree with everyone else about this being a great question.. I'm going against the grain as I like the hallway with all the doors bending and knocking, with people yelling, "Hey, let me outta here" and the grandfather clock that shows 13 o'clock before you hit the seance room.

Re: Haunted Mansion
I always loved the hitchhiking ghosts scene. It's very unique and is a great way of interacting with the riders other than having them blast targets with lasers. (no offense Buzz)
If I had to choose a second favorite, it would be the stretching room because it was the first thing I can ever remember about the mansion. I remember wondering how it was even possible, but now that I know, it still amazes me that they were able to come up with something that inventive.

Re: Haunted Mansion
It's after the music room as you ascend to the second level of the mansion. After you pass this area, you encounter the "blinking eyes" of the wallpaper before entering the endless hallway/corridor of doors.Amy wrote:This sounds neat ~ is it after you have already boarded your doombuggy? Re: Haunted Mansion
The very end of the Graveyard scene or right before you are warned about the hitchhiking ghosts. They are on the right, at least on the WDW/MK version. I don't know about the DL version.missynole wrote:MadEye, where is that Knight and Executioner? I don't remember seeing them

Same place where you have the operatic fat lady singing.
