Subsonic Radio Updated Forums to PHPBB3
Hello everybody. If you haven't noticed SR went through a little downtime today to get an upgrade. We have now updated to PHPBB3.
We've been frantically trying to get things working (yes, we could have QAed better on our side, but hey, free!) Let us know if you find bugs.
Known bugs:
Fixed - News on homepage isn't parsing BB code.
Fixed - htmlentities back to ascii for titles
Fixed - "online users" are not showing up on the home page
Fixed - Avatars broken
Fixed - Smilies
- "online users" Moderator username highlighting missing
- PM buggy
- Time stamp on home page needs reformatting
- Track information does not load when clicked

The new format and way to post is an adjustment to used to - I just got the hang of it and now gotta learn it all over again! But I gotta admit - it looks quite stylish...

I agree. It's taking some getting used to for sure! I feel like a newbie all over again!

Good, I'm glad I am not the only one having to adjust...it does look nice, it is just a bit of a shock to be looking at red things scrolling for new posts instead of blinky yellow lights!

I like it. I'll have to get used to it but are you not allowing avatars anymore? What about smilies?

Re: Subsonic Radio Updated Forums to PHPBB3
I already asked about the avatars in the chat, but I noticed that the smilies aren't working either. Is that on purpose or is it a bug?
EDIT: No sooner did I post the response, the avatars returned! Thanks guys! :)

Never mind about the avatars as they are back!! Yay!!! Any chance for more variety of Smilies with the upgrades? I do like the "online" banner by the user names if a member is at the site or not. Beats checking the bottom of the main page(s). Good touch.

The smilies seem to be ok in other threads, just not this news one...and I've seen the avatars now as well...BBCode is "off" in news and I don't know if that can be changed...

I mentioned it in chat. Perhaps it's that way just for the news forum...who knows?

I wondered if maybe the news is supposed to be more serious! Ha-ha!
Does anyone else think some of the little smilies look a little too much like little aliens now? *insert shocked smiley here*

Oooh weird. :D
Definitely looks different. I'll have to play around and see what's going on with this system. I'm not seeing any html wysiwyg options; how do we turn on the BBCode? According to my settings it should be on but it's not.

Re: Subsonic Radio Updated Forums to PHPBB3
I just noticed that there is a little banner over our ticket indicating if the person is online - cool! Does anyone else feel like it is Christmas morning and you're opening a new present?!
Re: Subsonic Radio Updated Forums to PHPBB3
Another question that just came to mind: which symbols mean new post, new thread, no new posts, etc?

Yep, I'm seeing the wysiwyg links now on other threads (but not this one, for some reason). Smileys, too. I like them being there without having to click for the pop-up.
