I didn't get to watch the game, but when someone texted hubby with a "who's crying now" theme to it, I had to check the score...17-4...I almost passed out!

Glad to see we came back with 4 more runs (which in normal cases would have won the game), but obviously you guys outplayed us.

...but we will bounce back. Look out when we do!!!!

(btw, I dreaded looking at this thread...the first thing I said when I saw the score was "oh great, there goes kcarts!")

I went to the game. The wind was whipping out toward left. I think a couple of the four taters the Sox hit had some help. Although that one Youkilis hit needed exact change for the Mass Pike!

We shall see how the rest of the series goes. Usually I wouldn't gloat about one game. But it's been ssssooooo looooonnnnngggg since I had anything to gloat about with the Sox!

If I may digress from the all love here for a minute.....

I meant to post this on here a while ago... before each game @ Fenway Park the PA guy does his little speil, announces the starting line ups and then they play the anthem. After that the line ups are exchanged at the plate and the bullpen pitchers make their way from the dugout to the bullpen in right-center field. For the past three seasons they have hung a pirate flag (skull and crossbones) in the bullpen. And for the past two and half seasons when the hurlers start their walk to the pen the PA plays the them to Pirates of the Carribbean while the cameras follow them on the jumbo tron.

Wow tough series for the Mets. Losing two out of the three games in extra innings. We need to right this ship before it goes under.
