I believe a Beaver Tail is fried dough, like a beignet but in the shape of a "beaver tail." I think they sprinkle powdered sugar or drizzle chocolate on it.MmeLeota wrote:Me neither...can anyone explain?boilerbabe wrote:Will someone enlighten me...what are beaver tails?!!??? About the Norway thing, now that hubby has taken the plunge into posting, I guess I'd better curb the Norway guy story...![]()

THANK YOU MmeLeota... I thought I was alone on this. I am looking forward to seeing it ONE more time. I know Disney has SOMETHING up their sleeve for this one.MmeLeota wrote:I wish people would stop thnking that Captain EO is supposed to be a replacement for HISTA. It's temporary! (Fall for DL, not sure how long for the other parks) It's Disney trying to cash in on people's memories and nostalgia! I know I said this before, but no one knows what Disney has up their sleeves for the HISTA replacement. I'm sure whatever it is, it will blow us all away! But it takes time to develop and build out these things...and though they've probably been working on it for quite some time now, with all other projects going on right now, this buys them a little more time.
If Michael Jackson had not passed away, HISTA would have continued as normal until they bring in the new attraction and no one would have said anything. Do I think EO is outdated? Heck yeah! But I have to admit, it was nice to see it one more time. (even if all of the original effects weren't there)

I'm so sick and tired of hearing people whine about it...and not just on this board either.
Honestly, of the people who have frequented the parks several times over the years, how many times have you gone on HISTA? You've seen it once or twice (or more if you're really that big of a fan) and I'll bet you pass it by whenever you're there.
If you're that unhappy about it, I have an idea for you...DON'T GO ON IT! Trust me, they won't miss you...there are plenty of other folks who would like to see it.
I was so unhappy about the switch from Tropical Serenade to The Under New Management show that I went once to give it a chance and have never been back since. But I'm not whining about it....I just avoid it.
At least this one is a temporary change and we know there is something new on the horizon.

Beaver tails are like Alfredo's Ristorante - gone in the name of progress. We can't blame everything bad that happens at Disney on Eisner - some decisions are delegated downward. And bad decisions are still being made AFTER he left - can we still blame him? Like any other company - management can make some bone-headed decisions sometimes and NEVER will admit to their mistakes...

I agree with that statement mindflipper...we can't blame him for ALL the bad things that have happened...not all decisions were his. Just like not all decisions are Iger's...
...and you're dead on with that never admitting mistakes comment!

Yes I can BLAME everything that's bad about Disney on Eisner and Iger (Eisner's hand puppet!). Wake up and smell the burnt coffee. Eisner might not have made every bad decision personally, but he did instill the "Give them less, they'll still enjoy it because it is Disney attitude!"MmeLeota wrote:Yeah, I know...mindflipper wrote:Beaver tails are like Alfredo's Ristorante - gone in the name of progress. Put it in that perspective, and it's a whole other ball game!
This is what I hate the most! Everything has gotten to be so cheap (the food quality, the merchandise quality, the attractions...(hello, why do all the parks have to have the same attractions?) and the one that irks me the most..."Disney Parks" written on EVERYTHING) and yet we're gouged to the gills.but he did instill the "Give them less, they'll still enjoy it because it is Disney attitude!"
