That was a tough skid that they were in. Just winning one is like taking a ton of bricks off the backs of the players.Jacca5660 wrote:Where are the Braves?? They actually won one!
As for the Mets, somehow they have managed to win 8 in a row and beat the Phillies by a large margain. Also, they are now in "first place"... however I won't hold my breath. The season is long. We are now into May when most of the power hitters start waking up. Hopefully the Mets can continue on their winning ways.

That list is a bit strange.
They asked people to rate the 30 teams based on a scale from -5 to +5 (+5 being the best) on their feelings about the teams.
From a boston.com article......
"The formula determines whether consumers have positive, negative or neutral reactions to brands in their online messages. Neilsen's "Sentiment Rankings" range from 5 to minus-5. No team finished with a negative number. But six teams finished with a number lower than 2."
I'm not sure how that translates to being "most hated".

My favorite from the AP game report......
The Braves lost 10 straight in 2006-- they can match skid Friday night at home against Houston.
Like it's an accomplishment.

I found the list to be very surprising. I figured the top 2 would be NYY and BOS (well, at least one of those was rightkcarts wrote:That list is a bit strange.

What was funny though, the day DH told me about the list, the Angels were playing the Indians and one of the Indians' pitchers was crying a sob story about how the Angels won on a bunt. He cried that it was "bad baseball". HA! If it was such bad baseball, it should have been an easy out. The Indians didn't get the out, the Angels scored, Angels win...simple as that.
