Music that reminds you of Disney...

Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

Music that reminds you of Disney...

Thought I'd ask because I was just listening to the song "Sleepyhead" by Passion Pit and I instantly got transported back to like....Epcot or something. Strange what music can do to you.

and no I'm not on drugs.

I think one of the commercials for convenience store coffee uses the same background music as on of the resort channels that gives info. Not the one with Stacy.

Every time I hear it I instantly think of my room at OKW or the Boardwalk.

And sometimes I'd like to be on drugs.

I was listening to Desolation Row performed by Ratdog (original by Bob Dylan) and he mentions "Cinderella" in the lyrics. That immediately brought me back to the MK!!

Wanna borrow some of my meds...? 8-)

We are constantly hearing things that remind us of Disney music. Half the time we wonder if it's just our Disney addiction playing tricks on us.....

A lot of late 90s techno or dance will make me think of Disney, mostly because it was used for the character warm ups before Spectro. For example, Sadeness by Enigma.

I heard Robert Miles' Children for the first time at Mannequins way back when, too. It took me months to figure out what it was so I could buy it and now 11+ years later it still makes me think of Disney. Anything on the Thursday street playlist for PI in the late 90s will do it, too; I swear they played We Like to Party every time at 10:30 and the Grease Megamix came on right before the big midnight show.

It's funny, but sometimes when listening to Jimmy Buffett, I think wow that's from Subsonic!
"Our dreams can come true - if we have the courage to pursue them" WED

"There's a fine prow on that steamer, let's climb aboard her!" Fireside

"You're off the map mateys..Here there be SeaMonsters!!"

There are several songs that I've heard on the smooth jazz station that are played throughout the parks...

Like you Jacca, when I hear a non-Disney song that's played in the park somewhere (Jimmy Buffett, Garth Brooks...etc) I think of the site too!

Disney music typically reminds me the most of Walt Disney World

There's a segment of music in the movie Dave that is also used in Soarin! Would love to find out the title of that song...
