Re: Favorite Resort Lobby
my vote goes for the animal kingdom lodge, although most of the resort lobbies have something interesting and special

Our all time fav. resort lobby is the Poly. But, on our last trip we stayed at the YC and I have to say, we really loved that too. That would be my second fav. lobby. It's very elegant and relaxing.

You simply must experience the AK lodge lobby! If I know you half as well as I think I do, you'll love that too!boilerbabe wrote:Our all time fav. resort lobby is the Poly. B-dude and I keep saying that we want to explore some of the resorts. On our next trip, we'll make it a point to see AK and B-dude has always wanted to see Wildnerness Lodge. But, the Poly will always have my heart.Mousekedude wrote:You simply must experience the AK lodge lobby! Re: Favorite Resort Lobby
It's a close vote for us between the Poly lobby and the AKL lobby. Both are wonderful. Love their smells, too.

Re: Favorite Resort Lobby
I suppose I would have more appreciation for the Poly lobby if my first experience with it hadn't been marred by the smell of cigarette smoke all through it. I'm deathly allergic to cigarette smoke, and for some reason the lobby was full of it when I went through there. I had to hurry through and didn't even get to really check it out. Don't know where the smoke was coming from, but man...!! ..... it was bad!

I especially love it at Christmastime!!!elizabethswann wrote:Since I'm limited to just the DLR/DCA resort, I do have to say that I love the Grand Californian hotel lobby. I hung out for about an hour sometime in the night right by the fire and it was so relaxing.
Ms. Swann, you will probably like the Wilderness Lodge lobby. It has the same kind of feel as GC. There's something about sitting in a chair or on a couch in front of a giant fireplace...a nice, cozy feeling...warm fuzzies!!!!

And that's exactly what's the coolest part of AK Lodge, too!MmeLeota wrote:I especially love it at Christmastime!!!elizabethswann wrote:Since I'm limited to just the DLR/DCA resort, I do have to say that I love the Grand Californian hotel lobby. The Poly lobby is the Great Ceremonial House?boilerbabe wrote:How long ago did you go throught the Poly lodge M-dude?! You should revisit it on your next trip!!! It's a wonderful place to just take a sit and watch the world go by!
I honestly find it to be a fascinating lobby, but have to complain that it is just a bit too hectic and noisy for my liking.

Re: Favorite Resort Lobby
Meh. The GF lobby doesn't do it for me. Feels like it's trying too hard.
