I heard it was falling apart, it was a 25 yr steel coaster. But still they could of just buy new parts, but I guess they didn't want to pay that much on it.

Well another rollercoaster is in its place, which is called Spinning Dragons and it is a spinning coaster. I however I am not a big fan of it. It isn't just like the Orient Express.
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

Sounds like they didn't maintain it well - we live near Busch Gardens in Williamsburg which has the Loch Ness Monster and it was built in 1978 - runs and looks like new!

Sad aout the OE. :(

My theory is that WoF was own by one guy, then Cedar Fair took over around 1995, I would of think CF would of taken care of it more. They did repaint it and put new parts on the ride but they just got rid of it because it cost too much.

The Orient Express is one of the only one that has a interlocking loops. It was the first rollercoaster to have a boomerang element. They use to call it Kamakazi Kurve.

I remember hearing the chain lift sound. It sounded cool because it gave a echo from the tunnel.

I really want to do a weekend trip to Cedar's Point. That park holds something like 10 world records.
