Godspeed to everyone who gets there at 2:00AM, you have courage for waking up at such an hour! I plan on getting there around park opening, but I won't have the prime location during the ceremony that everyone else who braved the early morning for this event.

I'm still highly looking forward to this though, but one thing I hope that doesn't happen is Eisner beeing booed, but that's another story.

Let's see, leave house at 6pm sat, arrive at Disneyland parking lot at 1am-ish, get into DCA before 2am. Wait, wait, wait and do more waiting. Then "woo-hoo July 17th Disney funtime/no such thing as personal space!!" the entire day. Drive home, go to work Monday morning. Sounds perfect. Who needs sleep.

This just goes to proove how much of an extreme Disneyite I am NOT.

I was planning on going that day. There is no way I'm going to deal with the crowds there. Forget it.

All my Disney trips must be okay'ed by my parents. I told them about July 17th, and my mom goes, "I forbid it." There's really not much you can do after that, lol.

I went there on the 17th adn well the 15 and 16th as well, but lets talk about the 17th, wow what a day that was, I got some gifts from Disney and I think they are really cool to have 8). When I was going to park in the parking lot they said to me that Disneyland is closed, but I already had my ticket and they let me go on in, then later they reopen Disneyland after about 30mins i guess because I saw lot more people coming in.

Well i got to see the CEO and Arnold hehe, as for Space Mountain and the fireworks 8) Those were simply awesome!

I was unable to go but a co-worker went and as he knows that I love Disney he got me the park map. I love it one side is the Disneyland of today and on the back is the Disneyland of 1955. I have added it to my collection of lithographs.

I suppose I can contribute my trip report:

Thursday afternoon Colby showed up at my house to find that we had an ill house-guest that I was babysitting for a friend (ugh, guys, sick 9 year olds are NOT fun. For real).

Friday morning I wake up and feel icky. Not full on sick, but just kind of "off". Colby and I delay our trek out to Anaheim for a few hours. We arrive down there around 5pm and meet up with Cliff and Brooke and have a lovely night of dinner and shopping.

Saturday morning I wake up at 6am to register for my fall semester and feel like absolute hell. Pounding head, icky tummy, the whole 9 yards. Colby calls Cliff and Brooke and says we'll catch up with them later. We never actually do catch up with them, but that's beside the point.

Saturday evening I am hating life+ and head home to sleep in my own bed and hope that it perks me up.

I used to think there was nothing worse than being really, really sick, now I know that "I'm missing the party AT DISNEYLAND because I'm lying on the bathroom floor praying for death" is worse than just being sick alone.

:( :(

You know I had something in me as well, but I wasn't going to let it delay my trip so I went on the 15th of July and went to Disneyland around 7am to get my 3-day pass to the park. When the park open I headed straight for Space Mountain but the opening on SM was delayed untill 11am, so I went to Adventureland and rode some of the rides there when it hit around 10:30am I headed to Space and I saw a really long line but I didn't care. I must of waited for almost 3 hours to get on the ride, when I was on the ride I was so excited and that ride was alot of fun! I went straight for a fast pass for the ride again and the I had to return to Space around 9 to 10pm and I got my fast pass around 12:30pm and fastpass was going away in a flash on that ride.

Then around 9pm I rode the ride again then I went straight to the fireworks before the show got started and I got very lucky and I got to sat right up in front of the castle and got to see everything and I was so amazed by the fireworks!

The 16th well, the 16th was a normal day at Disneyland but 2 things happen though. One was group of people decided to cut in line as I was talking with another group of people. We were like WTF, as for I wasn't going to let this happen, by the way this was at Indiana Jones. When we got in the temple and we were about to get in the station and I told one of the cast members and said that these group of people cutted in line with out saying anything about it and I also said they cutted in line of this group of people that I was talking to. So the cast member said ok and took out the group of people and sent them back of the line and the wait was and hour and that was at night.

The other thing was Space Mountain, I had a fastpass for it and went on the ride, as I was waiting I was talking to a group of people about the ride and this really random guy came out of no where and I swear he was on drugs...the guy was too hyper and really stupid. I should of kept my mouth shut because he wanted to ride with me since I knew what the ride was all about. But since I am a nice person I let him ride with me and he was crazy in a funny way, I took a nice picture as well at the end of the ride....I pointed at the picture with 2 hands and it turned out great. As for the guy next to me, he looked like he died. lol

Now for the 17th
I knew the park was open around 2am to 3am but I was tired and went to bed around 1 am and got up around 7am and went to Disneyland, as I was coming up for parking they said to me that Disneyland is CLOSED because they had alot of people in the park already. As I was about to leave, they said to me that the park just reopened, and I was like Heck yeah! So I went into the park and had fun most of the day and I got to see Arnold and the Share holders of the park as well with Walt daughter and gave a big speech about the park and Walt. I also went to see the fireworks one more time before I had to leave. But I didn't get lucky that time, I was about 30 to 40 feet way from the castle that time. after all that I went home 8)

YES! UGH. God, why is it that I get sick before big events? >_<!

I'm feeling better now, but still not 100%. Colby and I will be at Disneyland later this week when I'm feeling better, though.
