We try to make that our really good picture day too...though it doesn't always work that wayAmy wrote:I like the way you put that, "I try to limit the matching to 1 day"! Is anyone else as crazy as I am when it comes to clothing?

Nothing wrong with getting excited about Disney clothes. I'm a 49-year-old man and one of my favorite things about a Disney trip is packing my Disney apparell. (And buy new ones, too!!!)

My family had that this past vacation. We had a one day where we all wore the same shirt. It was kind of cool. We usually try to have a day where we all are wearing similar shirts.MmeLeota wrote:I pretty much have a "1 day we match" rule. My DW loves to buy new clothes for every trip. She never wants to take the same clothes she wore on a previous trip. She claims it's because she uses what she's wearing in any given picture to remember which trip the picture is from, but I think that's just an excuse: she just loves to buy new clothes.

She will always take more than she needs, like if we're going for 10 days she'll take at least 15 outfits, if not more!
Even though she plans out in advance which outfits she'll wear on any given day, she takes the extras in case she changes her mind.
She's also very style-conscious, so her outfits always look good, and she doesn't like to do the "matchy-matchy" thing either. She usually just wants us to wear similar shirts on one day at the parks just for fun, but that's it.
I guess I can't complain; it just means that every time we take a trip I get new clothes too!

I can't blame your wife for bringing extra clothes. In the Florida heat you can sometimes need a change of clothes by mid afternoon after sweating all morning. We always pack a little extra. It is better to be safe then have to run to buy more clothes.Mousekedude wrote: She will always take more than she needs, like if we're going for 10 days she'll take at least 15 outfits, if not more!Even though she plans out in advance which outfits she'll wear on any given day, she takes the extras in case she changes her mind.

Yeah...going to Orlando during the winter is tricky as well. It can be 70 degrees one day and then 35 degrees the next.
I'll be there 8/29 through 9/3 later this year...which will be my first summer trip to WDW EVER! I have been in April, November, December, and January. I'm sure it will be an eye-opener in terms of the heat and standing in lines. I'll be bringing some extra clothes with me as well in case I need to change. At least everything will be light and won't take up much suitcase room.

Get ready to feel the need to take a 2nd shower when waiting at the bus stop at 8am. The first couple days it really hits you but then you get used to it. The summer is definitely a 2 shirt per day time of year.theBIGyowski wrote:I'll be there 8/29 through 9/3 later this year...which will be my first summer trip to WDW EVER!

I'm from Alabama...so I am used to the humid heat. It's just the fact of being in it all day...I'll have to get used to that.99Soulz wrote:Get ready to feel the need to take a 2nd shower when waiting at the bus stop at 8am. Remember you can always wait for the cool of the evening when it's only about 95 degrees and 98% humidity. Did anybody tell you about looking for the Florida state bird? Remember to look for the rare mosquito. Florida abounds in theses delights and you should have no problem spotting them.theBIGyowski wrote:Yeah...going to Orlando during the winter is tricky as well.
