Ghiradelli or Beaches and Cream?

Post by missynole » Apr Sun 04, 2010 9:47 am

I was thinking about ice cream at WDW this morning and wondered if anyone had a favorite ice cream spot. I used to like Ghiradelli in the Village but the ice cream always melts before I get it so now my favorite is at the Beach Club.

I like Beaches and Cream because it's indoors and people aren't constantly standing next to my table waiting for me to gulp down the last spoonful. Also, Ghiradelli took my favorite sundae off the menu...the Cable Car is gone, and for now, so am I.

Ghiradelli has some of the best ice cream I've ever had!

I honestly am a huge fan of Ghiradelli. I really think that they have amazing ice cream and other sweet treats.

Beaches N Cream by a nose. Ghiradelli's has good ice cream but the seating availability (or lack thereof) is a real negative drawback....

Went to Beaches and Cream last night (thankfully, you do not need reservations) and have been to Ghiradelli's many times. With that said:

Ghiradelli's is great for just ice cream. But if you are in the mood for a full meal, go with Beaches and Cream. All I can say is if it wasn't for the really, really rich brownies in the Fudge Mud Slide, I'd be able to finish it... :(

Hmm...never been to Beaches n' Cream

Ghirardelli is one of my faves, but I have not experienced it it WDW, though I would imagine it's about the same.

I also love Gibson Girl and Brrrbank (DCA)...but the one that gets us is the small ice cream walk up hidden in a side street of Main Street...they have the best sundaes! (Unfortunately, I cannot remember the name of it, nor do I know if it exists in WDW)

We have Ghiradelli in Chicago, so for us, Beaches and Cream is a special treat! Something we can't do anytime! :D

Ghiradelli's makes a mean banana split, but Beaches and Cream does a better milk shake! DH is the milk shake expert. 8-)
