Nihon wa sugoi! *

...Sorry about the Japanese. Anyway, Japan is definitly one of the best. I think because it's off in the back it doesn't get too busy (like Mexico), and the food is pretty good.

* Japan is super!

Eating tacos right by the water. What could be better than Cantina de San Angel?

Oh, man. I've eaten at Mexico probably three times and it's probably the worst Mexican food I've ever had. Neat atmosphere, boring cuisine.

Norway and Italy have nifty pastries, but my vote for food probably goes to Morocco. Actually, my vote would go for The Land and their new menu... but that wasn't listed.

I tend to agree--the food at the cantina isn't very good. However, the full service San Angel Inn that is located INSIDE the pyramid is very good, and very unique when compared to most people's idea of Mexican food. Also, you can't beat the atmosphere there. It's Epcot's version of the Blue Bayou.

I actually was talking about inside the pyramid. I found the food amazingly... American... for being Mexican. Very bland and uninspired, at least to me. The atmosphere almost makes up for it, though! :)

You think so? Maybe it has changed since I last visited. The mole poblano used to be excellent, as was the ceviche. I haven't been able to find a decent mole dish at any of the Mexican restaurants I've eaten at here in Connecticut. Bland and American are the last two adjectives I'd ever use to desribe the San Angel Inn. What sort of dishes did you try?

Honestly, it's been so long since I've eaten there I don't even recall. I remember that the last one was some sort of bland chicken dish, but that's about it. My wife agrees with me, though, so I know it's not just me. I just remember thinking each time we ate there how odd it was that every meal we ordered seemed completely bereft of spices of any kind, and reminded me of eating something off the menu at Taco Bell. Out of all the places to eat in WDW Resorts, that's the only one we agreed we'd not go to again for some time. :?

I'll go with Germany also for the beer and braut, but if your money cautious China for its lo-mein its like $3 or $4 dollars and it was a lot. I split it with my wife and it's better than any lo-mein we have here. Another cheap meal is ( if you dont mind a vegiterian sandwich ) is to go to the american adventure and order an extra roll .89 cents, then go to the fixing bar. lettuce, tomato, pickles, etc. load it up and your pretty set for a while.

I like the Liberty Inn myself. When we went down for my 21st a few years ago, my family went up tp the counter and ordered while I found a table. They told the counter person that it was my birthday, and they got me a slice of apple pie COVERED in vanilla ice cream for free. no place I know would do that for a guest these days.

I'd actually venture to say that there's no counter service place at Epcot that I've tried and didn't like! They're all great, but as to what place I've eaten at the most? Kringla bakery! Mmmm Norway. Yakitori House at Japan is really, really good too.

Liberty Inn is ours, most of our kids won't try different foods, so we stick to the most popular types.

Electric Umbrella has awesome burgers. I like Sommerfest, too, though...but prefer the Octoberfest. The pretzels are heavenly though.
