You make a great point. Shula's is great. We haven't been there in like 8 years, but from what I remember, the food was amazing. If you want to do something nice for Illuminations, you can go ahead and schedule a late dinner at Rose and Crown and watch Illuminations from there. They have a nice little vantage point.JPG wrote: Let me jump in with some dining choices....As Len said earlier, make an ADR for the Califonia Grill and watch Wishes. Very romantic and great food! However, a restaurant my wife and I find to be even nicer and certainly quieter and more romantic is Shula's at the Dolphin Resort. Great food, service and a very nice atmosphere.

You are just going to love your honeymoon in WDW! It can be so very romantic. Did you tell them when you booked that it's your honeymoon?! Make sure they know!
Cal. Grill is a good suggestion and another good spot is Narcoossee's! It's our all time fav. for a special occasion. You have a fantastic view of Wishes from there as well as the water light parade.

I ate a California Grill the last time I was down there (Jan 2009) and watched Wishes from there...TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
I will try my best to do that again, but only after we have seen Wishes from Main Street USA because I have never seen it from there strangely enough. I have seen it from the rest of the MK resorts...but never from the MK itself.
I will also try the Rose & Crown for Illuminations...maybe on the first night we are there. I'm loving the ideas from everyone! Please keep them coming!

Congrats! My DW and I honeymooned at WDW twice. We eloped the first time, and on our 10th anniversary we brought guests. My suggestions for some "don't miss(es)" are:
Restaurants:
Sanaa in Animal Kingdom Villas
Flying Fish at Boardwalk
Breakfast at Kona in the Polynesian
Attractions:
Draw some characters at the Animation Station in Hollywood Studios
The Luau at the Polynesian - tell them you are just married and you may get to lead the dance
Watch Illuminations from the Japanese Tea Room (can't remember the name)
Take the walk from Old Key West to Downtown Disney or Saratoga Springs and back.
Ride the Baloon at Downtown Disney
Hope some of these can help.

I second, third, etc the recommendation for the California Grill. Pricey but worth it. Our server was courtesy enough to have the chefs wait on our meal (we had late reservations) so that we could view Wishes from the balcony/roof. Absolutely fantastic experience!
