We have eaten a breakfast or two each trip off of property. We always go to the Denny's at 12375 STATE RD 535. It is the one just off the Hotel Blvd. They have great food and it really plays a good role for mixing up the food you eat each morning. There is just a limit to how many buffet breakfast's you can eat in a week :D

Okay, Jacca5660 - I take it back about "Cracker Barrel" being "slumming it". I eat there no problem, but - gasp! - Denny's?!? Len90! it's the bottom of the barrel compared to Cracker Barrel (gotta love that pun!). I don't know if I have eaten at your particular one in Orlando, but I have over my many years eaten at others down there and the quality was bad. That's why our family switched to Cracker Barrel.

But I agree with you Len90 about the Breakfast Buffets. Frankly, as Jacca5660 pointed out - it gets very expensive to eat at them day after day!

And Jacca5660 - with those prices, you understand why I'm just not a breakfast kind of guy. Nutrigrain bar is less fattening and less expensive.

If you want to try a great breakfast off property try Perkins. They have good food for a very good price. I did love the "bottom of the barrel" pun!!

We have too many Perkins by me in NJ. When we go away, we prefer to eat at places that are really not around my area. We only have one Denny's within a 20 minute radius of me and we never eat there. Eating at Disney is very costly, in fact eating anywhere while on vacation is very expensive. It is great to go to Denny's and see a breakfast bill that is under $40.

No Perkins here in Chattanooga, so it's a treat when down in Orlando. Yes it is nice to see a food bill under $40 when at WDW. It seems every meal is at least $60. Cracker Barrel is still my favorite off property place to eat and they are all over here. There are at least 4 of them within 10 miles of my home.

Cracker Barrel also has an affordable menu, Len90. We've been able to eat under $40 bucks there too.

No Perkins here either (they went bust around here and closed up).

I can't believe nobody's mentioned Waffle House in the off-property debate.

I put Waffle House above Denny's - but if I'm doing off property (which is rare) - like Jacca5660, I would go for Cracker Barrel.

And speaking off leaving out of this debate: what about IHOP??

After living in Atlanta where on some highway exits there are two Waffle Houses. I can't go to them any more, can't stay up that late or drink that hard! As for IHOP, never really cared for them that much.

Now you can get any meal at any time at Cracker Barrel!

Please don't ask about fast food!

I love the food at Cracker Barrel, but I can't eat there anymore because they always locate their restaurants outside City limits (in cities that have "no smoking in restaurants" ordinances) so they can have a smoking section and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke. It doesn't matter where you sit. The whole restaurant shares the same air, so it makes as much sense to have "smoking" and "non-smoking" areas in an enclosed building as it would to have "peeing" and "non-peeing" areas in a public swimming pool. But I digress.....
We rarely go off-property, so we don't really have a preference for off-property breakfast restaurants, but if we did, and if they were "all non-smoking", it would definitely be Cracker Barrel. Love browsing in their gift shop, too.

Mousekedude, you would be happy with any of them in Florida - state laws prohibits any smoking in any restaurant. Not even in the restroom. You have to exit the building to smoke.

Yahooo! Next trip, then, when we go off-property we'll have breakfast at Cracker Barrel! Then we'll meet you for lunch in St. Augustine!

If time permits, I side with others on here who say Kona Cafe for the Tonga Toast! Makes me hungry just thinking about it.
