Well, then you get a bunch of neat stuff in the mail, and you get to buy a bunch of neat stuff, and you get access to special events that no one else can go to except for D23 members. Plus you get that really warm and fuzzy feeling that comes with feeling like you're part of something special.
I love it when I wear my "Are you 23?" t-shirt around town and people ask me what it means. It makes me feel really cool. For all you single guys out there: it's a great ice-breaker, if you know what I mean.... (wink, wink... nudge, nudge....

).

You know, they do have the new tiers...for those who want to join but don't want to shell out as much. But, you don't get the magazine if you choose the silver (cheaper) tier. IMHO, the magazine is worth the extra.

So, if the rum is only for the milestone thread (and understandibly so since it has now officially been hijacked by pirates

)...what will the party beverage of choice be here? Tequila? (they do sell margaritas in Epcot and DCA)

I think we should have Dole Whips on this thread!
I didn't realize that you can do a cheaper membership, I agree, I like the magazine, but since DH gets the magazine, I might o.k. with the lesser version. As long as I'm still in the club!!!

He could always hold the card until your B-day and give it to you then?

I am hoping that after my fiance becomes my DW and we get back from our honeymoon at WDW...she will feel the urge to make me 23. I'll get Mickey to cross his fingers for me.

Now that I'm in the club, can someone explain to me: why's it called "D23"?

The Walt Disney Company was founded by Walt and his brother in 1923.
So...D23.

YAY! My Sweetie took the hint and now I'm official too! I'm 23 with all the rights and priviledges! I have the "silver" version so we don't get duplicates of the magazine. This is very exciting!
