So you pay more to be "charter members" - what do you get for it?

You need to join but M-dude and I are D23 snobs. Our cards say charter member.

Nope, didn't pay more for it. It just means we signed up within the first year....bragging rights I guess...

Oh, and fellow charter members...I happened to see there was a sale on shirts in the D23 Boutique. I don't know for how long, but definitely check it out.

B-dude has his D23 card with all the rights and priviledges, and I don't. Should've signed myself up too. I will just have to live through him!!!

Yup. Bragging rights is good enough for me.
Funny thing about the shirts though: I wish they would come up with some other designs. I already bought the only one I really like, and for as much as they are charging us for these memberships I would hope that they could be more diverse and creative with their merchandise. *sigh* I guess they just need more members so that they can afford to do more with their stuff.

Guess that makes boilerbabe and I non-D23 people (difference is, boilerbabe can sponge off of Boilerdude's unless he won't share). But if we both join, we would become D23 members, just not charter members. Yes, I feel the pressure to join!!

Hmmmmmmm, if boilerbabe does join and get her own membership, would that cause some grief in the boiler-household if B-dude has "bragging rights" and b-babe does not?

It would in ours...so I nipped that one in the bud and shelled out for both of us.

What was that about subliminal messaging mentioned on another thread??? I think it was used to get me to buy 2 memberships....

If the membership is in HIS name - not yours, boilerbabe - it sounds like he could have bragging rights. Now, would it be sane for him to do it - that's a different story.

If he's sane he will brag that she bought it for him. Then he has double bragging rights, for: a) being a charter member, and b) being a good devoted DH. He wins on both counts.

I will just have to settle this and buy my own membership. I do have a birthday coming up... HINT to my DH.....it wouldn't be a charter member, but I would be a member.
