What did they change????
They made it so that you are supposed to be going on a mission to capture stitch or something like that. He pops up in the middle tube as the alien did in AE and then he escapes and messes everything up. I thought they would have done something different with it, at least a different TYPE of ride, not take the old ride and just make it different colors and give it a new monster. If the ride was made to be kid friendly I dont know what they were thinking because the lights go out and the chair has those things in it that poke at your and breathe on you etc. and there were definitly some crying kids when I went.

We went to Walt Disney World in December. My wife liked Stich alot better than Alien Encounter. AE scared her, bad. That was funny to me. I liked watching the reactions of the people. My wife felt my daughter was too small to enter AE, so she didn't know what she missed. I liked AE. Stich is a kid freindly show. Stich turned his head and spit right in my daughter's face. That was the funniest part, the rest was blahh. The stage is the same. So is the areana. Even the que is the same. Of course they changed one or two things to make it look more "Stich" like. One addition is big plasma guns that follow Stich and his spit, just like the movie. And of course the addition of Stich. He is in the same tube the Alien was in.

It was cute and funny. Not something I'd say I'd miss if I didn't get to do it again. It definately would scare some smaller kids becuase of the dark, but my kids, 7 & 10 thought it was kewl.

I enjoyed Stitch a great deal, especially the parts where he talks to you and where he answers the phone and steals the chili dog. It would have been so much more fabulous if they had created an entirely new ride for him though.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I thought the ride was much better than the original for little kids, but for teenages and adults it is a really shame that we lost one of the few "frightening" rides that isn't a rollar coaster. I didn't hate the new ride, but I also didn't like it as much as the old on. That one petrified me when I was young!

I didnt really like it and there were some kids who cried when the lights went out. I thought the smell was gross and it was boring...*snooze*

The ride basically didnt do anything at all....except gross me out with the constant Stitch burping on the back of your neck, and the smell of rotten hotdogs that filled the arena you were sitting in. Its just what you said subsonic..its a circular thing and you sit there and watch the "show". I never rode AE so i cant speculate, but it had to be better than what this was.
I agree it wasn't really good at all, and they pretty much just replaced the alien with stitch, It's really not worth the wait. But if it's your first time, it's an ok ride so you should try it out! :D
Oh yeah I forgot about the chillie dog breath, it's nasty but funny! And there is this part with he's messing with you hair it tickels!

AE?

Sometimes I just can't figure out the acronyms :\
Alien Encounters in case you hadn't figured it out yet.

Was never on the ride. Will never go on The Stitch one.
Friendships are a blessing. Don't waste it on people who can't appreciate it.
