I guess it's old news to everyone by now, but this is going to really help releave the lines in some of the other lands. I've heard so many say that most of the expansion is for little girls mostly. Who cares? That's great for them and for the rest of us who like shorter lines at the other attractions.

I'm sure it won't really affect the lines too much. I think mainly it will just be the same amount of people going to Fantasyland & Toontown. Now it's just combined into one giant land. I will still check out Fantasyland even if it's "built for little girls"
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Time will tell if lines will be shorter parkwide. I just hope that all the new pathways built will help with the congestion n the land. And I am sure that I'm not the only adult male patiently waiting for The Little Mermaid ride. If the inside looks as amazing as the outside (see my avatar for the forums here), then it might just be a good reason, besides the Beauty and the Beast area (at least to me) to visit Fantasyland more often.

One thing I am wondering about the model, is why is there no model of the Mad Tea Party? I've done search after search, but not even official Disney sites have a pic of that model with the Tea Cups on it...

I think that's because they will remain unchanged.

If you look at this blue print you see the new stuff outlined up top. Then at the bottom toward the middle/right you can see the Tea Cups right where it is today.

I know. But if you look at the concept art, it looks as though Tea Cups has a new roof.kcarts wrote:I think that's because they will remain unchanged.

Models look interesting. I do like the hidden Mickey effect that is going to be created with the dueling dumbo's.
I keep looking over all of these pictures and models. I have started to understand everything in terms of where you will be walking. It is good to see that Disney will be making more walkways around Fantasyland after this construction is completed. However, during construction what are the closures going to be like. It almost seems like the area between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland will be shut for construction since they have to make the castle wall. I don't recall if this has been addressed, but it looks like it could leave Pooh and Tea Cups in a tough situation. Are they going to get shut down for some time, or will they be only accessible through Tomorrowland?
Secondly, has construction begun yet? I know it was supposed to start following the holidays. It would be nice to hear that this is underway.

From what I see in the maps, Toontown will be closed and Pooh's play area will be closed as well. The area from Tomorrowland past the tea cups and toward the merry-go-round is the most open area in Fantasyland. There should be enough room to at least walk there. I don't think that they would completely close off that access from Tomorrowland to Fantasayland.Len90 wrote:I keep looking over all of these pictures and models. If they were to work back to front, they could actually keep the existing Dumbo open until the rest is completed and then shut that down to complete the castle wall.
Whoops!
