Thanks. I guess I'll have to give it try!

Enjoy your trip. If I see the lanyard, I'll say hello!

My next business trip to Orlando is January 13-15 so it looks like I'll be there at least one day next month. Woo hoo!

6 weeks, 4 days. or 47 days till WDW meets my children for the second time their short lives. My daughter is so excited, she was much too young to remember her first Disney trip, and I am excited to see it all through her eyes this time.

I'm so excited for you...it's so close you can almost touch it. You must be overwhelmed with anticipation. What do your children want to do the most?

I'm excited for you as well. We're going in November and I never thought about it not being "next year" anymore.....thanks for exposing me to that mindset. It makes if feel so much more close :D

Less than 24 hours to go! This time tomorrow night we'll be freezing our tails off on the Pirates and Pal's fireworks cruise, wishing that one of the fireworks from Wishes would explode directly on our boat, so we could be warm.

But it'll be fun. I can't wait!

Dude. I don't want to hear it!

21 degrees, snowing and wind up to 50 mph here. That weather that you refer to will be down right tropical to this guy! I saw 55 degrees for high on Wednesday when I arrive. I'll take it!

Pack a blanket, Future Guy, because Florida is freezing right now! It's gonna be cold this week, but on a plus side not much rain forecasted this week so at least it's going to be dry. But if you bring blanket(s) you can store in a rental locker during the day and get them out at night for fireworks and/or parades.

Looks like it will drop below freezing overnight in Disney during this week. The parks should be pretty empty since the locals will usually stay indoors. Might get a walk-on for most attractions.

If it was Disneyland, I would agree - but not WDW. Rain, Sleet, Lightning, and cold don't scare away the tourists. I've gone many times in January after the holidays regardless of the cold. I agree with Len90 that the parks may not be crowded but for different reasons: everyone went during or before the holidays, so the park tends to have lighter crowds afterwards in January. Long ago, WDW always used to have Florida Resident Discount Month in January. Hopefully, it will give you shorter lines - but "walk-on" lines, don't hold your breath for that. I hope you have a great trip, Future Guy.

I know it won't stop the tourists, but it should hold back the floridians for the most part. I know before I was born my mom was there with my dad and brother. They went in the winter time and when the temperature dropped into the 40's, the parks got empty since the Floridians stayed indoors.
