Thinking about going for Flower and Garden festival....

Post by timekeeper » Dec Thu 17, 2009 9:21 am

We always go in the fall or Christmas time. I would love to see the flower festival but I don't want to deal with Spring Breakers either. Is it worth it to make the trip then?

Thanks!

I've been a couple of times during the festival (2005 and 2007). It runs long enough that you can avoid spring breakers. I know they moved up the dates but we went towards the end of the festival in May. It was a bit crowded but not overly so and there were no spring breakers at that time.

I've been a few times and you only get really crowed on the weekends. It's a great time to be at WDW, when isn't it?

The F&G festival is really nice. It makes good use of some of the big open spaces between FW and WS (especially the butterfly tent). Plus, the weather is generally nice this time of year.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Absolutely, it is worth it! Especially if you live in the north. The weather is perfect, and the beautiful colors of the flowers is a refreshing change from the dreary northern winters in Michigan.

It's really hard to get a bad photograph during flower & garden. I have a great of Spaceship Earth with the floral foreground and the monorail coming around it.

The Flower & Garden Festival was wonderful. I saw it for the first time in 2008 when I went down in May. You can take some great photos of World Showcase that I feel it's even a little better than Food & Wine (mainly cus of the bad crowds it draws on the weekend)...At least from my experience. I really enjoyed the atmosphere that F&G added to the Showcase scenary.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha
