Calling all southpaws...

I'm not 100% lefty either, and for me its most because thing are designed for the right-hand. The 10 key on my computer keyboard is on the right. My camcorder is designed to be held in the right hand. My camera has the button on the right side. When living in a right-handed world, alot of things are on the right forcing left-handed people to use the right hand. And that carries over into other things we do.

Like Len90 brought up, I too always have to force the situation where I sit when I eat with others to avoid the whole elbow-banging coordination problem. I think that's why Len90 wants right-handed people to know what it is like for us to mix our dexterity to fit in a right handed world:

Yep. It is really tough living in a right-handed world. Just to be able to write, I have to choose a certain aisle seat in lecture halls to have the left handed desk. In the smaller classrooms the desks are all made for right-handed individuals. It is very annoying having to just deal with it.

I remember the UF classrooms that had those chairs with the built-in desktop. The writing area was on the right side, so left handed people couldn't sit in the comfortably. One thing I like about UNF locally here is that they use table/countertops with chairs - no left- or right-handed problems. "Dexterity neutral" so to speak.

If people don't like LHL (Left-Handed League) - we could always use the ilLEFTinati.

I personally prefer LHL.

You're lucky you have access to lefty desks. Every desk in my college classes was a right-handed desk. Ugh!!!! I felt bad for my professors having to read my exams...they were a mess!

We should come up with some sort of LHL catchphrase or something...any ideas?

We fear ye not, Righty. You forgot - we got a Lefty in the White House (in fact, we had a bases covered by making sure both candidates were lefties). Yes, the Lefties are in control, Jacca5660! Maybe in order to pay back some of this stimulus money there could be a Right-Handed Tax? Buwahahahahahaha!

Sometimes I wonder would we be better with a righty in office... but let's not get me started on politics. And as for the stimulus... I personally think we left-handed people should have gotten something since we have to spend extra for certain items. Try and find a left-handed leaf blower for example.

Len90, y'know, giving a break on left-handed items wouldn't be bad.

I like Len's idea of a break on left-handed items too...though I have to admit that I have gotten so used to having to use right-handed items, I don't buy too many left-handed items....another ploy by the Society of the Right-Handed...
