They still played them in August. DD watched Bed Time Stories and Finding Nemo in the pool. It was a nice something extra since we were staying there anyway.Sleepy90 wrote:Captain Schnemo wrote:Thanks for the All Star Movies tip. The atmosphere can't compete with the other locations, but if the weather is nice and it's the only decent movie showing, it's a possibility.
It's at Music not Movies they don't show anything at Movies as far as I know.

Did some more research. Seems they also play movies at the Wilderness Lodge and the Contemporary.
Still looking for more free things to do. There's a fair amount of stuff at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, including a talk at the flamingo pond and African folk tales at the fire pit. Those sound nice.
There are also musical entertainers at Riverside and the French Quarter.
Nothing as cool as the torch lighting ceremony, though.

For anyone who wants to enjoy the free movies at the Resorts, here's a site that updates the movies on the dates they are played...

Hmm...that would have saved me some time, but all the movie data is from last month. Based on the level of confusion of the Disney reps on the phone, I don't trust most of the info I got.
By the way, it seems that when you call any resort, you get the same call center. They just answer the phone differently based on which number you dialed. They are all looking at the same intranet pages, which is really annoying, because if they'd just post that stuff somewhere, then you wouldn't need to bother them at all.

You are correct about that. You are getting a call center on that. I forget but there used to be a way to get through to the hotel.Captain Schnemo wrote:Hmm...that would have saved me some time, but all the movie data is from last month.
