Timekeeper?
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”
― Dr. Seuss

Not Timekeeper.
Not Thomas Jefferson. (don't remember a Thomas Jefferson attraction?)

Boilerdude's correct, it's AA's Declaration of Independence drafting convo w/ Ben Franklin. I'm sure :P

It's a reference to the 13 original colonies all signing on...

Actually, Boilerdude is wrong. But you're right when you said it was AA (American Adventure) and you got the scene right, too - but the line was said by Ben Franklin, NOT Thomas Jefferson, in the show. However, historically, the line was actually spoken by John Adams, NOT Benjamin Franklin; Disney took "dramatic license" in switching it to Benjamin Franklin.

Also, it's "Attraction" quotes, so I was looking for the attraction name. Thomas Jefferson is a character in two of them: American Adventure, and the Hall of Presidents. I was trying to prompt Boilerdude to give the attraction name.

However, Mr.ToadWildRider, as you did actually put the attraction in your post (AA=American Adventure), you guessed it right so it's your turn.

Hmmm I thought Jefferson said it while expressing his frustration with how hard it was to draft the Declaration in a way that all 13 colonies would agree. Oh well.

I'll defer to Boilerdude if he wants it as I'm sure he meant AA at the very least :mickey: If he doesn't take it I'll go.

I was almost positive it was Jefferson. But the truth in the matter it’s an error because no one really said it. Madison wrote that in memos to himself. It showed that he was going to support the constitution because he knew the colonies would not voluntary be in synch .

Thats okay Mr.Toad, its all you.

Franklin did say it in AA. I checked it out last night before I posted it. And according to bio by David McCullough, it was John Adams. I recognized the quote while reading the book, and was surprised to find out it wasn't Franklin (it does sound like something Franklin would have said).

Most likely no one actually said it. Some historian probably thought, that's a good way to show the difficulties of the Declaration of Independence. Thus the legend was born, like George Washington and the cherry tree.

ANYWAY, will someone post a quote please?
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

-Benjamin Franklin

I think Mr.ToadWildRider deferred it to Boilerdude, and Boilerdude deferred it back to Mr.ToadWildRider. It's in Mr.ToadWildRider's court now...

Oh oops ummm how about

"It's a small world after all" - and no I don't mean the obvious answer, some place else.

NOTE: There may actually be several locations so if there are I'm sorry but there is one in particular I am thinking of and it is not the happiest ship that ever sailed.
