More often than not, it's counter-clockwise for both Future Showcase and World Showcase.

I've never thought of clockwise or counter clockwise at Future Showcase. I guess we do a crisscross pattern.

It depends on which countries we want to go to and where we are when we start. We're pretty consistent in going both directions pretty equally.

We tend to be like ping pong balls. We bounce all over the place. :goofy_bounce:
It's mainly because we always have a plan of action before we ever hit the gate. So the direction we go is always going to depend on where we happen to schedule our first stop, be it a ride or a meal reservation.
Otherwise, on those rare occasions when we don't have a plan and are just acting in a totally random way, we seem to gravitate towards clockwise, starting with Mexico. Someone said earlier that maybe it's that way because it just seems to grab your attention right away as soon as you approach the loop, and that makes sense to me.
Maybe it's something deeper though, like the pull of gravity or something spacey like that.... you know, the old question of why does the water always swirl in a certain direction when you drain your bathtub...?

Well, I was gonna say the water swirl in the commode, but this being family friendly and all, I thought the tub would be better. But hey, since you brought it up...!

Counter clockwise for me ... because Mexico is AIR-CONDITIONED then continue around the lagoon... btw what is the official name of this lagoon? Is it just World Showcase Lagoon... that seems so plain:?: :mickey:

I think pretty much everyone starts going clockwise with Mexico and then after they become acclamated they go to specific areas. Personally, I always go straight on the boat right to America because I'm more patriot than apparently everyone here. [pats myself on the back] So... umm... maybe every should feel bad now except me? JUST KIDDING!

Hmmmm.... I know I never did. Guess it's all in your perspective. It's great to be a patriot, and hats off to all who feel that, but on the other hand it's also great to get into the spirit of Walt's dream and revel in the diversity of the World Showcase, forgetting all boundaries and limitations.... we're all brothers world wide, when it gets right down to it. So no matter how one looks at it, everyone wins...
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

I usually go Counter-Clockwise because I like to catch Off Kilter & British Invasion during the day as if we were to start clock-wise, then they already be done. I tend to feel it's good to get my favorite countries done first (Canada, UK) before I'm tired and cranky but Italy, Germany and China have nice locations where you can relax.

And I've done beers around the world 3 times during my College Program. I finished all 3 but only remember my first 2 when I did it counter-clockwise. My last one was clockwise, and I barely remember France, UK and Canada.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Most the time we always start from Canada if we are going to have lunch at le cellier or if we are going to spend the afternoon in boardwalk or yacht & beach

Most of the week I was there last, we went clockwise. There were two exceptions - both when in a hurry to get to a dinner reservation.

In thinking about, alot of the times we take the boat across the lagoon to Morocco or Germany, so we don't actually go clockwise or counter-clockwise - just across.
