I just requested 3 songs and when I went to the Now Playing list, I see that a request hit just before mine that will take 40 minutes, putting mine on right when I am in rush hour traffic. I checked Now Playing before making my requests and the 40 minute one wasn't there then.
I don't care about getting the points back, I was just not wanting to miss hearing my requests.

It's rough..

Maybe Sub shouldn't put in songs over 20 minutes?

That's my advice - love the long tracks but they can bump the requests around a bit.

I didn't add anything in. The only stuff that's added in before requests are the ads every 30 minutes.

The song that was added was requested. Someone just clicked on their request before I did.
They yesterday, I made my reqeusts and was called away from my desk and missed them all. So frustrating, but not anyone's fault.
Today, I made up for it and got in everything I wanted to hear.

It's happened to me too....but there have been times that I've requested a song and it won't play until over 2 hours later. This just happened to us last week (the most recent time). I was at home, requested a song...and waited...and waited...and waited. Over 2 hours later (close to 2.5 hours), it FINALLY played. I nearly missed it because we actually had to go. What drives me nuts are those people who will request 8 or 9 songs in a row. I don't care if it's in the middle of the night when no one is requesting...but right smack in the middle of the day when other people are most likely going to request something, I wish people would have some decency and space out their requests so others can actually listen to their request. That time I waited over 2 hours, I wound up being behind 2 people who both request about 9 songs. It's not the first time I got stuck behind both of them. So everytime I see their requests start to come up, I don't even bother requesting anything until they're gone.

it used to be worse. Back when there was no point system, requests used to be basically unlimited. some people used to request all the longer tracks (30 - 60 minutes in length) all in a row. That used to take about 4 hours or more. got so bad at times that Sub coded in an allowance of tracks (no mater how long) within a certain time period.

the worst thing that has happened to me was when i requested the door sounds
for the monorail, i checked the current requests and nothing was there, but
when my request went through, a 60 min song!
