Martin Smith over on the WDWMagic boards says that plans for an Imagination rehab do exist and are "creeping along". Supposedly, the ride would be extended into the area now occupied by the Magic Eye theater and Dreamfinder would return. Most of the budget in the near future will be tied up with the Fantasyland/Toontown Fair project, but after that maybe Imagination will finally get done.

You can understand why I am hesiatant abou any further change that they would make to Journey... but there is perhaps a glimmer of hope if the Dreamfinder would be coming back.

One can only... dream!! haha!!

That would be great! Perhaps in time for Epcot's 30th birthday would be great! But if it takes over the area that's Magic Eye theater..... isn't that where HISTA is shown?

Normally I would have picked Journey Into Imagination, but when my wife and I went to the Living Seas right after it was refurbished we both thought it would have been better if they just demolished it. They got rid of the fake elevators which takes the going under the ocean feel right away and we didn't see many fish! It looked like a poorly run aquarium store, all the tanks were barely filled and in poor shape. Hopefully they have gotten it back up to par, but the last time I was there I didn't even waste my time going in.

You mean the hydrolator? I miss it to! The original concept and the ride was fun.

Yeah, the hydrolator...the bubble and vibrating floor really made you feel like you were going down to the bottom of the ocean. Talk about taking the imagination right out of an attraction.

Universe of Energy - the original was too boring. but Ellen was not an improvement either.

The Living Seas with Nemo - it was not like the original pre-show was that great, but maybe the Nemo lead-in before the aquarium may get kids more interested in the fish.

Journey Into Imagination - the second incarnation with the "imagination meter" showing how the riders had no imagination was sarcastically hypocritical as the attraction itself grossly lacked any imagination whatsoever. The third incarnation was better only because they brought back Figment, but still the first incarnation was far better.

This is a tough one! I would have loved to ride world of motion.. (its fun t obe freeeeeeeee) but i wasnt alive then
Disney is a lifetime- you get the rides but all the while the magic is within you out of the park thining of the memories.

Ever wanted to think of being in the park just you and 40 other people? NO LINES!!

The original Universe of Energy was a marvel. For the time the technology was way head of it's time. It did get dated after awhile, but it took years. It's one of the things I miss about the original feel of EPCOT.

Tough call, but I'd have to go with the Journey into Imagination ride, mostly because they've swept Dreamfinder under the rug and the Institute atmosphere feels too cold and clinical to me (which I'm sure is intentional, given the end of the ride, but still...). Also, it seems they've changed Figment from a whimsical little sprite into a troublemaker, which is a shame.

It's so hard to say because so many should never have been done really. They were all perfect circa 1994. Stupid MetLife, they are probably my most hated "de"-furbishment.

JII takes this one for me. Though I really miss Horizons...but I have not been on Mission:Space so I can't make an educated decision about that one. But I have experienced all 3 versions of Imagination and the original was by far the best!!!
