If it does happen, Welcome Aboard, we don't discriminate unless you are on the other team.MmeLeota wrote: if NY makes it I'm rooting for the Phillies to go back to back.
I'm a loyal Mets fan. So for me it becomes tough. Do I root for the subway rival or the NL East Rival. I personally dislike the Phillies more, so I'll be watching the games to enjoy them and will cheer for the Yankees.Dr. Ravenscroft wrote:If it does happen, Welcome Aboard, we don't discriminate unless you are on the other team.MmeLeota wrote: if NY makes it I'm rooting for the Phillies to go back to back.
You make a great point Jacca. These people are getting paid millions to work not even a full year and to only come through at best 30% of the time (for a .300 hitter). It does not make any sense to me, but that is sports. A salary cap would be nice, but then what would happen to half of the baseball teams out there.Jacca5660 wrote:Steinbrenner has done as much damage to baseball as Eisner has done to Disney. Ne he's done more damage. It hard to think anybody is worth the money some are getting now! I don't just mean baseball or sports in general. It's everyplace you look. Where is the greed going to stop?
OK I'm off my soapbox and I didn't even go into the politics of the subject!
