A good friend of mine has made it to the second round of questions for the Mickey Mom's Club panel for 2010! I'm so excited for her!

What is the Mickey Mom's Club?

It's a panel of 10 mom's--sometimes a dad gets on too who answer questions on a forum on the Disney website. The 10 panelists win a trip for their family for 5 days and they train the Disney mom's. They are treated like royalty while in Disney and get to see some really cool behind the scenes things too! I read a lot on the DIS boards and there have been a few members of the DIS boards chosen to be on the panel. I've applied for the last three years but had no luck!

Hmmm, sounds great for those moms. Is it just for parents or are childless adults allowed to apply as well?

A few years back I got a packet in the mail to sign up for the Mom's Panel, they sent me cool stickers, a mouse pad and pins. Funny thing is...I'm not a mom! Maybe I should've rented a child, LOL. A trip to Disney, that would've been great!
Best of luck to your friend!!!

BABE, why rent? I have two teenagers I can loan for an extended period if you need them!! LOL!! You would have to feed them and believe me, THAT CAN GET EXPENSIVE!!

Thanks for the offer Jacca, if they send me a Mom's Panel sign up sheet again, I just might do that!

I would prefer girls though, I don't think they're as expensive to feed!?

They had a Disney dad last year on the panel. I don't think that you technically had to have kids to apply but it seems that most that were chosen did have families. I'm not 100% sure.

My friend didn't make it to the third round but the good news is that she left with her family today for Disney!

I'm single and I applied. I didn't make it past the first round though... I guess they're just not looking for a single white female with disabilities. I thought I'd be a shoo in with that profile! I mean, if you've never gone in a scooter, how can you advise me on my trip?

My son has multiple food allergies and I did answer one question about how well we do with the chef's and I thought we might make it further since we have experience in a different area like you said getting around on a scooter. I applied 3 yrs in a row and have never had any luck.
