For us it would be Animal Kingdom Lodge, followed by the Polynesian and then Fort Wilderness Lodge.

The Poly has an undescribable smell, it's wonderful! I'm thinking from all the foliage there?! You just have to smell it for yourself MomPaula. If I could bottle the smell from the Poly lobby and take it home, I would! It has had this smell ever since I can remember, and that's me back to my first trip at age 3. :D

It's the smell from all of the tropical plant life mixed with the running waterfall. It's like a humid smell I guess? It's hard to describe, as Boilerbabe mentioned, but you know it when you smell it! And to me that smell means Disney!

I have been there multiple times to eat at O'hana and Kona. Each time I had walked in, I made sure the first thing I did was to take a big deep breath to absorb that great smell.

Jacca, I thought Boilerbabe was 3 years old 14 years ago... but my math could be off in my sleep deprived state! :goofy_bounce:

I know I've posted on this one a while back. That said, My favorite WDW resort lobby is in the resort I'm staying in at that moment! I do have favorites when I'm home, but when I'm there, that's my favorite!

That's so kind of you Jacca! I wish....I will be 33 (YIKES!) in Feb. But, age isn't anything but a #, I sure don't feel 32!!! That's the beauty of Disney...you can always let that inner child come out! :D

Sorry I can't relate to the smell at the Poly. The only time I ever went there was for the Spirit of Aloha dinner, and we walked through the lobby to get to a taxi. All I remember was the stench of stale cigarette smoke. Nasty! :(
No offense to anyone who smokes, but....
Anyway, my favorite is AK lodge, followed by Wilderness Lodge. Love the awesomeness. High, soaring ceilings with massive yet artful supporting structure and finely detailed decor... just so impressive.
Of course, the Grand Floridian is really cool too. Just so hard to decide....

I love Port Orleans Riverside cos it's a relaxed southern atmosphere (a nice escape to the hustle and bustle of the parks) - polynesian comes close second and I quite like the boardwalk
