I am heart broken if this is going to be permanent?! I agree with Mouseoholic, very UNfuturistic feel with this narration. We'll be there in Dec. as well, I guess we'll see if this is permanent or not then? I sure hope not.

it sounds like you are going through a big tomorrow land commercial with that new narration. i dont really want to be told about each attraction. thats what maps are for (for those that still need a map to get around)

I agree...rather lame....kind of watching tv in the resort rooms...(I like those but do not believe it belongs on an attraction!)

I don't hate it, but having heard it, I prefer the old narration. The new spiel is so . . .devoid of character.

You can't do that! I would say just complain to them about it. It would really be a shame if this was the start of the demise of TTA.

It really isn't the same anymore, it's just so BLAH. it makes TTA boring. I think they did this on purpose so all the fanboys who love TTA will go away. Seriously, WHY WOULD DO THEY DO THIS? All they had to do was keep the current audio, add the new character intros, so that way its updated with MILF & Space Mtn.

It just makes me think of Living with the Land, which is bad considering I usually fall alsleep during that.

What does everyone think of the character additions too?

It could have been worse. For instance, that chick from The Great Movie Ride, whodoesnotliketoinsertsmallpausesbetweeneachwordasshespeaks,and
whoseeverymovieisherfavoritemovie.

I'm not thrilled about the character additions to the audio. I don't understand why they could not just leave the audio alone?!?!?! I'm really nervous about Space Mtn. I hope they don't ruin that too!

The star tunnel audio is also a major part of TTA. My favorite part of TTA is going through Space Mountain so you can hear that great tune. All of these recent poor refurbs leave me asking why?

I just hope they don't screw up SM and Fantasyland.

A little perspective: the WEDWay PeopleMover opened in 1975 as a guided tour of Tomorrowland. Much like its sibling in Anaheim, the Peoplemover's narration told guests about each attraction as they passed through it and about the inner workings of the PeopleMover itself. The original Jack Wagner spiel was replaced in 1985 by the ORAC-1 narration, but the content remained pretty much the same. The ORAC-1 narration remained in place until the big Tomorrowland refurb in 1994 that gave us the TTA we all remember so fondly.

So, although the "old" TTA spiel was there for 15 years, and was the only one most people here remember, all Disney really did was put it back the way it was for the 19 years that preceded the 1994 refurb. I'm a little sorry to see them abandon the idea of Tomorrowland as a future city out of a Flash Gordon comic book, but since none of the other attractions there were true to that theme, it's not a huge loss. This is neither the worst thing since Dr. Nigel Channing or the best thing since Chuck Norris.

I can't say that I hate it. Like Future Guy said, it is more like the WEDway Peoplemover that I remember growing up with. I was actually kinda upset when they changed it to the TTA in '94. As a kid I always dreamed of the day I would live in a city that had a mass transit system of Peoplemovers and monorails. To me, this is more along the lines of Walt's dream for the Peoplemover than the "ride" it became as the TTA.

I am also really excited that they put Peoplemover back into it. Now, we just need to rechristen it the WEDway Peoplemover again, because that is truly what it is.
