They already have pizza on the Boardwalk. It's only take out but it's pretty darn good.

I completely forgot about loosing pizza on the Boardwalk now that Spoodles is gone . The pizza definitely wasn't the greatest, but it wasn't bad, and it was quick (relatively speaking, depending on how busy the Boardwalk happens to be at the time). It would definitely be the perfect place for a real old fashion pizza parlor. Brick oven and all, yum! Great idea :mickey:!

New York Street at the Studios would be a great place for a pizzeria. Of course, Pizza Planet is right around the corner, but it's nothing to write home about.

My only thought would be "Why?"

Don't get me wrong. I love pizza, but with all the Domino's, Pizza Huts, CiCi's, and independant pizza places surrounding Disney, and knowing Disney over-pricing their food...

Not to mention that I have yet to have a Disney pizza that I thought was great.

All those pizza places you mention aren't "wonderful," they are chain pizza. Imagine if you could go into a real smells good pizza place, cute, but not too cute...player piano, sing along, or even a jukebox with Disney music...may be getting too cute, and the do it yourself like they used to have at the Fort...you start with a crust and add your own toppings and then it gets zapped in an oven and by the time you pay for it, it's ready.

Pizza just puts you in a fun mood, and if you traveled with the Magical Bus thingie you don't have a car so you can't get to the chain pizza outside the property.

Yet you would be paying over $20 for one medium pizza, knowing Disney prices...

I know it's just a quick service, but we enjoy Pizza Planet, I really don't think it's a bad tasting pizza.

I think it's more a matter of quality. You have to remember people come from places where pizza is king.

Actually, what I was looking for in my original post was an actual pizza joint! Some place you could go to relax, the smell of the brick oven would be filling the room, you could order beer or soda, there would be a tv on the wall, booths as well, and it would be a fresh, made to order pizza place, the cheese shakers in those little round containers on the table and maybe a red and white checker table cloth.

 Mmmmm, brick oven pizza! I really like pizza so I would totally be on board with having a great pizza place pop up somewhere. The pizza planet pizza is better than a lot of the chain pizzas here, plus you have all the Disney atmosphere before and after and during - so it tastes better! And I won't even touch the regional NY big slice vs. Chicago deep dish debate - my Momma raised me never to talk about religion, politics, or pizza

We have alot of great pizza joints in Chicago. I figure I get the good stuff at home. But, for those that can't....then a pizza joint would be fun.

See, I wouldn't want Pizza at WDW. When I am there I want something different. I can have pizza everyday at home. Give me, Dole Whips, Turkey Legs, and PBJ pizza at the breakfast buffets. I want the unusual when I visit.
